Tom was really helpful during the check in, he game me options when i needed assistance.
We had some problems with hot water, he was honest, informing me well and finally he solve the problem.
Tom gave was professional, responding to my emails and given solutions to the inconvenience with the hot water.
The appartment is big, but simple. We didn't spend too much time in the apartment but tuere are some shortness in kitchen stuff.
There was no hot water and the electricity, including lights, in the front half of the apartment didn't work. It seems as though Tom knew about these problems before our reservation started and didn't tell us in advance. The apartment is in the building's attic and gets quite hot, despite being in San Francisco. No fans are provided.
Katie comments are totally unfounded. There was both hot water and electricity at the apartment at the time of her arrival for her two night stay on Saturday and Sunday. An issue with the shower came to my attention at the beginning of Katie's rental. Warm, but not hot-hot water was coming out of the shower, which was less then ideal
I reached out to Katie prior to her arrival and offered her the ability to cancel along with a full refund and the offered to connect her directly with AirBnB's rapid response team to find her another place. She said she was fine and wanted to stay. After she left, and totally out of the blue, she tried to extort a partial refund for her stay. She also complained that the outdoor dimmer switch was not working after her stay.
The water temperature issue and the dimmer switch were both fixed on the next available business day.
The house is lovely. Amenities were basic. Nice neighborhood. Only complaint was that the water was cold. The neighbors in the building tried to fix the problem. Tom offered to let us cancel our booking, but it would have been difficult to find another place in the same area on short notice. From other reviews, it seems that this is the first time there has been an issue of this type. Hopefully the matter has been resolved.
The property management company resolved the issue and installed a brand new water heater in the unit on the first work day (Monday) after Ofir's arrival. We also offered Ofir the option to cancel and connect him with AirBnB's customer team to find another place for his stay.
We absolutely loved the apartment during our long weekend stay! Perfect location close to BART and plenty of restaurants. Tom was an excellent host. The unit was in impeccable condition and he had the blow up mattress with extra sheets ready upon arrival for our additional guests. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway in the city!
Enjoyed my stay at the apartment. It was easy to find, and instructions to get in were very clear and straightforward. There is street parking outside if needed, be careful for the street cleaning warnings though depending on which side your park on. The apartment itself was fine, it's a converted attic with lots of space. It was very clean. I picked an unfortunate time to visit, as there was a bit of a mini-heat wave at the time (definitely heats up in the attic!) but I enjoyed my stay and Tom was responsive and helpful to work with. Lot's of space, very good location (walking distance to anything in the Mission), fine for a larger number of people or short stays. I would say the value for what you get isn't spectacular, but it's a fine place none-the-less. The kitchen is equipped, but pretty limited (no knives, for instance). There was a towel in the bathroom for me, but no other amenities.
Tom was very communicative and gave excellent directions. I had no trouble getting into the apartment or getting in touch with him if I needed to while I was staying. The apartment was clean and in a great location
Apartment is just as described/pictured. Very large and spacious. We were utilizing the air mattress and slid it into the living room, but there is tons of room in the bedroom, so it could have stayed there if wanted. The neighborhood is good, lots of places to eat and cool shops to stop and browse. We felt very safe and it's a quick uber trip to union square or the wharf. The bus stop across the street starts early, great if you want to catch the bus, not great if you want to sleep in.
