Escape to a modern rustic A-frame guesthouse on a shared 5-acre property, tucked away at the end of a quiet road just 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman, 15 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl. Enjoy a private entrance, soaring ceilings, a full kitchen, a queen bedroom, and a king loft with Bridger Mountain views. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, and business guests. Not suitable for infants or children due to the loft ladder and resident dogs.

Originally built in 1968, it has been painstakingly reimagined from the ground up while preserving the timeless charm that makes A-frames so iconic. Nearly every aspect of the home has been rebuilt, including the framing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, and finishes. What remains is a warm, modern retreat that reflects years of thoughtful craftsmanship and continual refinement.

Every detail was chosen with comfort in mind. If you’ve ever arrived at a vacation rental only to find a lumpy mattress or flat pillows, you’ll appreciate the difference here. The main level features a queen bedroom, while the loft offers a king bed framed by sweeping views of the Bridger Mountains. Premium mattresses and a generous pillow selection are provided because a great day in Montana deserves a great night’s sleep.

The kitchen is fully equipped for everything from a quick breakfast before the slopes to a leisurely dinner after a day of exploring, with a gas range, farmhouse sink, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, microwave, and washer and dryer. Smart TVs, dimmable lighting, and conveniently placed USB outlets add modern convenience without distracting from the home’s inviting character.

Step outside and you’ll discover why this setting feels so special. Deer, rabbits, hawks, and eagles are frequent visitors, while the occasional moose, bear, coyote, or even mountain lion reminds you that Montana’s wild places are never far away. Just minutes away, Story Mill Community Park offers miles of trails, river access, wetlands, public art, and one of Bozeman’s most beloved outdoor gathering places.

The loft is reached by a custom ship ladder inspired by those found on naval aircraft carriers, adding a distinctive architectural element to the home. It is equipped with a custom welded steel safety gate but requires good mobility and is not suitable for infants or children.

You’ll also be sharing the property with a few friendly locals. Three small resident dogs and a curious cat named Cowmeow may stop by to say hello. While guest pets aren’t permitted, many visitors find these unofficial hosts become one of their favorite Montana memories.

Guest access
The A-frame is a private guesthouse located on the same property as my home. You’ll enjoy your own entrance and private space, while I’m nearby if you need assistance. Resident dogs also live on the property and may greet you during your stay. I respect your privacy but am always available if needed.

Other things to note
The property is tucked away at the end of a quiet lane on five acres bordering open land. Please drive slowly (10 to 15 mph) as you approach, as deer, other wildlife, and resident pets frequently cross the road. Upon arrival, continue to the rear of the house where you’ll find your designated parking area and private entrance to the A-frame.
