Walk to restaurants, antique shops, library, tennis & basketball courts and coffee shops. Have breakfast at the famous Ramos House Cafe or take in live music and a pint at the Swallow's Inn. Jog or bike the 3.5 mile path to Dana Point beaches and harbor; once there you can rent canoes, paddle boards, surf boards and beach cruisers. Short drive to OC beaches, Laguna Beach, Disneyland and Legoland. Also an easy walk to train station for a train trip to San Diego. Enjoy the backyard with treehouse, vegetable garden, spacious lawn and patio. Barbecue a meal on the back patio or take in the sunset from the deck. A new addition to our backyard is a chicken coop and six chickens! Don't worry about the chickens, they stay in the coop and a neighbor will be checking their water and feed. However, if you want fresh eggs for breakfast, you may just be in luck!

  • Sharon's home in San Juan Capistrano is a true gem!

Our family felt very much at home during our stay. Between the chicken coop , Legos, Drums, Treehouse, Hot Tub and fire pit our kids were in heaven! Sharon was extremely attentive to our particular needs and very flexible. The guidebook was excellent and entertaining friends and family here is a breeze. In fact, Sharon has inspired our household to be more organized like the 'McKeagues'. They make everything seem so simple. We look forward to staying again next time we are in Southern California. Best, Adam & Sarah- (3 girls and one little man)

  • Sharon has a wonderful home. She was there to greet us when we arrived and immediately made us feel very welcome. Her communication with us prior to arrival was very good as well. We have a family of 7 (2 adults, 5 children) and there was plenty of room for all of us. The home is very comfortable. Sharon and her family love this home and take very good care of it. We were blessed to be able to stay there.

  • We all had a wonderful time at the summer cottage! It was a very quaint home that was well decorated. We especially loved the master bedroom. It is much larger and way better that the pictures make it look!
Our grandkids were thrilled with the treehouse and chickens. It made them feel right at home since we have chickens also.
I loved the fact that you could sit on the porch and watch the trains go by.
Sharon is well organized and had everything that you could want to make your stay comfortable.. We would recommend this home for anyone from a couple to 7 comfortably.

  • We had a great stay here. Sharon is very organized as and left us a nice binder with details about her house as well as local attractions. It was very well set up for our kids - they loved the tree house, looking at the chickens, playing the drums (her son left a very sweet set of instructions about how to use them) and building things with their legos. We also loved that the Los Rios area was only a 10-15 minute walk away.

It was hot! But between the air conditioning and fans we were able to stay cool.

We definitely recommend their house if you're vacationing in the San Juan Capistrano area.

We love our family time, favorite activities are biking and surfing. We grow tomatoes and dahlias, lavender, salvias and succulents! Our newest addition is a coop and six chickens! They are a lot of fun to watch and are easy to care for, we built them a beautiful coop in the shade, during the spring, summer and fall, we get up to five eggs a day!
