  • We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great location and has everything you need to cook your own meals, including a super market right next door. The beach is only a few minutes walk and it is just as nice a Seven Mile beach.

Christian is a great host who made sure our stay was great even though he was out of town at the time.

  • Christian and Shalico are very kind, clean and hospitable. The location is great, very close to the prettiest beach of the Island. Seven Miles Beach is a few minutes-walk away. Lovely to swim and good for snorkeling! We a good stay.

  • We recently spent one week on Grand Cayman at the condo hosted by Christian and Shalico. They were great hosts, very helpful and accommodating. They are very involved in island life and had wonderful information that helped us so much. Our space was quiet and private, just what we wanted. We had access to the kitchen for making coffee and warming croissants in the mornings which we ate by the pool. We liked especially that it was in West Bay toward the end of Seven Mile Beach,,,less people and noise. There were several beach accesses within a couple minutes walk. The beach here is absolutely beautiful and great for swimming and snorkeling. If we wanted to go into the town there are small buses that pass right in front of their place all day, that take you to town or farther up west bay to the Turtle Farm for a couple dollars. We discovered a little restaurant/bar named "Alfresco" right up the beach that had great food. Also, it had chase loungers they rented for $5 per day and lots of shade or sun, drinks and food. Restaurants are not cheap on Grand Cayman, but there is a large Fosters Food Market right next door to the condo that was really nice. We would definitely stay with Christian and Shalico again next time we go to Grand Cayman, we had a GREAT experience. Dianne and Randy

  • Christian and Shalico are excellent hosts. The place is very clean and such a short walk to a nice beach and good snorkling; they also have fins you can use.

  • We had a great time with Christian and Shalico! They are great hosts and very helpful with whatever you may need. The room is very clean and comes with a nice private bathroom. Location is perfect just two minutes from the beach and in a close proximity of a very well supplied supermarket. Definitely recommend!!

  • Very comfortable and clean and inexpensive place to stay in a very costly island. Host was very friendly and accommodating.

  • Christian and Shalico are the ideal airbnb hosts. They were easy to communicate with and what you see (in their listing) is what you get. And what you get is a clean sizeable bedroom with your own bathroom, kitchen and living room to use as you wish (shared with the hosts), warm hospitality, and a location that is perfect. You can flag buses going into town right outside the door and there is beach access only a 2 minute walk away. In addition, a major supermarket is just a 2 minute walk away. Christian and Shalico were also incredibly kind giving us rides to/from the airport. We were so lucky to have found this spot and would definitely stay with Christian and Shalico if we were to come back to the island.

  • We loved our time in Cayman Islands and loved to stay with Christian! Everything was clean and very well kept. The location was also very wonderful, although we rented a car and it was much easier to travel around the island (definitely recommend getting a car if you can).
Overall, it was lovely and Christian was an amazing host, we only wish we had spent more time with him :)

    Thank you!

  • It was difficult to tear ourselves away from the pod of warmth and tactical support that was the home of Christian and Shalico. We expected to hole up in a small bedroom for cheap, because that's what we could afford on posh Grand Cayman Island.

What we found was that these guys politely and quietly pretty much leave the entire downstairs to their guests, (including dining, living room and small back porch), except to use the kitchen occasionally. Yet they seemed to have a sixth sense for when we needed them. They're a powerhouse of local information (best restaurant we went to was Christian's recommendation) and actually helpful tips on getting on in the world, in general.

Little things were done to make us feel welcomed and appreciated in their home, not to mention big things - Shalico, who works for an airline, actually sorted out a pretty big flight issue for my partner. (I admit we are still hero-worshipping him a little or that.)

Walk is 5 minutes to Cemetary Beach, which is a lovely, well-known beach to rest or play on. A gradual sandy approach and nearby schools of fishies makes it a great place to put new snorkelers in the water (I even saw a sting ray close in), and there's a beautiful reef further out for more experienced swimmers.

Everything was nicely clean and neat, the kitchen has what you need to prepare meals, bed was either full or queen size, (we weren't sure which,) there's a pool we never got in because the beach is so close, and a grill.

These guys are hard-working and providing a great AirBnB bargain for those of us who want to see the famed Cayman islands but need to do so on a budget.
