1 minute from Piazza Navona and Campo on the 2nd floor of a historic Palazzo (16th century) waits for you a bright, quiet room with king-size double bed and private bathroom. Guests have complete privacy. No elevator, no television. But therefore books for free!

The space

I would be delighted to welcome you in the heart of Rome. Just 1 minute walk from Piazza Navona , and in the the midst of the lively old town of the Eternal city with its bars and cafés, is waiting for you a bright and quiet room on the 2nd floor of a little Palazzo, that was built at the end of the 16th century by Domenico Fontana and ordered by Cardinal Felice Peretti, the later Pope Sixtus V. Still today you can recognize the little pears of his family coat of arms over the main entrance of the building. The room, with high walls and furnished with antique furniture and a large, comfortable double bed, has a private bathroom and direct access at the very entrance of the apartment. Guests have a complete privacy. The plan is the second (but with "mezzanino" floor in italy it's second floor, for the rest of the world maybe third floor) there is no elevator and no television. But therefore books in different languages – that you can pick up and take home with you! The breakfast (croissant and cappuccino) is served at table in the bar in a typical roman bar close to home (3 min. walk). I do speak fluently English and I am passionate about food, especially Italian cuisine, so that I started my own blog about Italian food in German language.

Interaction with guests

We are always pleased, if we can give good hints to enjoy the area at its best!

Couldn't have asked for a better set up. Gianluca was great, very accommodating and his place is very nice, cosy, and in an excellent location.

Gianluca's apartment was all we could have asked for during our stay in Rome. The space (one large bedroom and bathroom) was more than enough for two people, with beautiful wood beamed ceiling. The location was unbeatable as we were a 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona, Pantheon, and Campo De Fiori. We were able to access almost everywhere we wanted to go during our first trip to Rome by walking from the apartment. Gianluca was so nice, and was an extremely helpful host. We would absolutely recommend this airbnb, especially for the price and location.

Great location, loved that it was in the heart of old Rome. Our room was very comfortable and large. It was very quiet at night and we slept very well. We were so busy trying to see as much as we could of Rome that we didn't see much of our hosts, but when we did touch base they were very nice and helpful. Great location and nice friendly faces, the best introduction to Rome!

The location is perfect -- one would be able to walk to all major tourist attractions on foot. The house is located in a quite area in the city center. Gianluca is a nice and welcoming host.

Gianlucas place was in a perfect location in Rome and he provided us with very helpful recommendations upon check in. He also provided us a map and took the time to review it in detail. He was extremely friendly and a great host. We would definitely stay at his place again, which was exactly as described. Private, comfortable and in a great neighborhood of Rome. Ciao!

This was the best location for Rome--walkable, as well as close to public transportation. We loved the character of the neighborhood. Our room was very quiet and also close proximity to restaurants, shops, and siteseeing. It was everything we needed. Gianluca, our host, was very warm and helpful. We highly recommend staying here!
