Nestled in the beautiful Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg, this large guest room, in a private home with its own bath and seating area, is one block from the third largest waterfront park system in North America where bike and walking trails surround the Bay.
There is no other neighborhood like this one, featured in "This Old House" as one of the top ten historic bungalow neighborhoods in the USA.
We are a short walk to restaurants, museums, galleries, clubs and more. Saint Petersburg has been voted the #1 medium sized art town in the US three years in a row. It is home to the Dali Museum, the Chihuly Art Glass Museum, the Holocaust Museum and a Museum of Fine Arts.

Interaction with Guests
We are at home when you visit and welcome conversation and pleasant exchanges. Your privacy is important to us and your room is secluded enough to offer you as much privacy as you need.
The New York Times says, "This quiet residential neighborhood stuffed with old houses is the opposite of the happening downtown scene, which might just be its appeal. Those discovering this area, largely through word of mouth, say they love its sense of community while relishing the easy access to downtown. With its eclectic architecture, brick streets, picket fences and lush foliage, the neighborhood offers an odd blend of New England style and tropical sensibility. Despite its residential nature, it is just north of St. Petersburg’s downtown, making it convenient to the city’s booming cultural and entertainment scene. It also offers easy access for out-of-towners, since it is just 20 minutes from Tampa International Airport."
There is a local bus system as well as a downtown trolley that goes to the large Gulf beaches and the major shopping areas downtown and along Central Avenue.
Check in and check out: We do not have any set times and can decide on an individual basis but we would like a ballpark time and clear communication. We would appreciate a call if anything changes such as a delay.
Feel free to share the whole house: all we ask is that you treat this home as you would your own, with respect and courtesy.
The EXTRA person fee is for a whole separate room and is the same fee as the nightly room rate. We can accommodate a larger group or family occasionally with another room on the same floor. The bathroom would be shared. This room has a queen size sleeper sofa that is actually comfortable. If you are interested please send a message with your reservation request.
Living room, dining room, porches, kitchens, den with TV are all fine.
Upstairs is private.
Complimentary, continental breakfast is available on weekdays and Saturday from 7:30-10:00.
Full breakfast is available Sunday morning. Ask me what’s available and please let me know if you are a vegetarian or have any dietary issues.
Bring a laptop, tablet, IPAD? Wireless internet is available throughout the house.
I can print boarding passes, directions and site information for you.
Sand and Shoes and Wet Stuff
Sand is really hard on the floors. If you are just back from the beach please try to brush it off outside. We have an outdoor shower.
Please try to check your shoes for sand before coming in.
Please put wet stuff on the tiled bathroom floor, not the wood floor or bed.
We had a wonderful stay. The home is in a beautiful historic neighborhood within walking distance of several downtown museums, many restaurants, and a small beach. Linda provides everything you need for a wonderful vacation, including great advice from a local resident on things to do and places to go or not go. She is a wonderful cook and provides breakfast each day. You couldn't ask for a better host.
I was not new to Airbnb, but this was literally my best experience so far. I was even a little bit hesitant to write the review as afraid my description would not be so lovely as the actual experience. We had three wonderful days in St Pete, all because we chose a right place to stay. Linda was a very considerate and friendly host. The house is so pretty with everything in great harmony. Mornings started with fresh fruits and a sweet chat with Linda, who generously gave us suggestions for the day and borrowed us bikes or things we need for visiting beaches. We couldn't ask for a more convenient, yet quiet, location. The house is close to downtown St Pete and the bay. We enjoyed walking and bicycling around, to visit museums and to look for restaurants recommended by Linda. I would say it was the best part of our Florida trip. I kind of wish we could come back someday (if we are welcomed;).
Warm welcome even though our arrival was very late at night. Room as lovely as pictured in this art-filled house! Quiet neighbourhood full of character; 2 blocks to the water. Beauty all around. Garden. Blossoming trees. Porches. The hot tub in back! The kitchen is Linda's domain, and she will take care of you. Delicious fruit every morning, homemade bread, good coffee. Fabulous Sunday breakfast, such interesting flavours! Terrific conversations, lots of laughs,Warren a fine story-teller. Wonderful hosts, we feel like we have made two new friends.
A fifteen minute walk along Beach Drive to restaurants, shops, and the Looper Trolley which takes you all around downtown and links with the Central Trolley (good shopping along Central Ave., plus the Acropolis restaurant) to the "big" beaches. We ate most of our meals outside at restaurants like Moon Under Water, our favourite for reasonably priced good food. Half way through our week the weather turned unusually cool, so we were glad to be close to lots of galleries. Be sure to walk to the Sunken Gardens, and snack at St. Pete's Bakery next door. (Special thanks to Warren, for picking us up when we got caught in a downpour!) You might want to catch the boat for a Dolphin Cruise - sightings guaranteed! Do call for times, as their website needs updating. They leave from The Pier, the big one with the oddly shaped building at the end. Alas, it was a little too windy for kayaking when we were there, but the bikes were fun. This place is full of delights. Enjoy!
We had a fantastic stay with Linda and Warren and would highly recommend their listing to anyone of any age or background. They have a beautiful home and are incredibly hospitable people. The room is large but still cosy with everything provided. We particularly enjoyed Linda's homemade bread (which was included with breakfast) and the fantastic location; downtown St Petersburg was easily walkable. There is so much to do in the area and we wish we could have stayed longer. Linda and Warren's local recommendations were invaluable!
We had a great stay here. This Artistic Bungalow is beyond description. It is an arts and crafts Bungalow lovingly restored by our hosts and filled with their art and furniture collection, all for their guests enjoyment. Linda baked artisan bread for a continental breakfast while Warren entertained us with great stories all while we had breakfast. They had wonderful suggestions for restaurants and places to see. We wish we could have stayed way longer so we could have seen more of the (website hidden) Petes was our favorite stop, We wonder if it was not because of Warren and Linda's great airbnb. Thanks again
Judy and Mike
Warren and Linda made my husband and I feel like we were at home. They were very nice and welcoming!! Their house was beautiful and full of art just like the pictures! The breakfast Linda made on Sunday was so delicious! The neighborhood was gorgeous! We walked everywhere and we even biked to the Snell island for a wedding. If and when we come back to St. Petersburg we will try and stay with them again!
Thanks again Warren and Linda!! :D
This beautiful home is so full of unique and artistic treasures that it is a work of art in itself. Linda and her husband are both very talented artists with a wealth of life experiences that will captivate guests if they have the inclination to chat. Linda serves a continental breakfast that includes the freshest fruit from their garden and fabulous homemade breads. The guest bedroom is very comfortable with a private bathroom immediately adjacent to it. The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood with tree-shaded streets and lovely homes and landscaping. Interesting shops and restaurants are within walking distance. If you visit this B and B, you will find it a joyous and memorable experience.
Warren and I are both artists and our home reflects both our love of art and our love of older homes.
We moved to St. Petersburg in 2010 so that I could teach at St. Petersburg College. The bonus is that St. Pete and particularly where we live, in the Old NE neighborhood, is paradise. There is always, and I mean always, something going on and everything is accessible and affordable.
My biggest pleasure is to cook healthy, gourmet meals for friends and family and now, I hope, guests. Warren's biggest pleasure is to have company and make sure they have a great time.
