Check In
  • The bay was wonderful! The space was good for our family of five and it was so convenient to the LUAS (train). We used it for most of our moving around, since we didn't have a car. We took an inexpensive taxi to the Heuston train station one day since we had an early train tour. Grainne's friend Vinnie was an excellent taxi driver for our ride to and from the airport. Also convenient to a few small grocery stores where we got breakfast supplies, as well as restaurants and pharmacies. Everything was very clean and functioning.

The best part of our trip was the Irish people. Hands-down the nicest we have met anywhere. Grainne's neighbor Valerie helped us get the key and get in and she was fantastic! So were everyone we met. Would definitely return!

  • Grainne was a lovely host during our stay, being very understanding, prompt in answering every questions we had and even left many travel brochures for our use and welcome us with a few of Irish food items to try! A warm and surprising welcome given by all! Rory the taxi driver gave great insights while passing by town. The apartment was homely and comfortable, a much needed atmosphere when doing tons of work for long weeks (we were there for longer than 4 weeks!) with a working wifii and fireplace for the extra chilly nights during winter. We even had a lovely gathering and cook a feast, with lots of positive comments from our own guests when we held it in the apartment itself! The neighbour Valerie and the cleaning services were of a great help, providing useful tips around town by the locals themselves and making sure the apartment was sparkling clean! The bus outside goes into town fairly quick, and with wifii around, you can organize your time by knowing the timings of the dublin buses! The luas (train) and foodstores nearby is pretty handy too, with loads of awesome take-aways around! I cannot describe enough other than "Thanks a million" to these lovely team of hosts that made our experience in dublin positive one that we cannot forget!

  • Grainne's apartment is lovely and well equipped. We had no problem following her instructions to get to the apartment and were pleased that there was secure parking. The beds were all comfortable, and Grainne had made up the sofa bed for one of our kids. The Luas line is quite convenient, and that is how we went into Dublin each day. We would definitely love to come back to Dublin and would stay here again.

  • This space exceeded our expectations by FAR. It is clean, nicely decorated, and cozy. There were 4 of us staying there and we had more than enough space to feel at home. The beds were so comfortable - we all slept so well during our stay. The kitchen appliances are nice and modern, and the bathroom was spectacular. We took advantage of the washer and dryer and they worked well. The bus stop is right out the door and the Luas is a short, 5 minute walk away, making transport into the city very, very easy. There were plenty of restaurants and take out options close by, and certain attractions, like the Gaol, were within walking distance as well. When we return to Dublin we will definitely be looking to stay here again!

  • Grainne was a wonderfully communicative host, and made the whole process very smooth with advance planning and attention to detail. She even arranged for a midweek cleaning when we requested it, and it all went perfectly. My colleagues very much enjoyed the comfortable and well-appointed flat. It was the most luxurious place we rented for our team's Dublin stay! Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Grainne.

I'm Gráinne, originally from Co. Kildare and raised in a small family run hotel. I am married to Tim who is now retired from An Garda Siochána (Irish Police). Tim and I purchased this property in 1986 and lived here for a number of years until our family grew and we needed to relocate. We loved living in this area and have many happy memories of our first home here.
