  • A lovely apartment within easy access of downtown Dublin. Apartment was well equipped; we were especially happy to have a french press for our coffee, extra electric converters, and a washer/dryer. The hot water was also plentiful. We felt very safe in the neighborhood, and there are groceries and several pubs (our favorite was Dillons) within close walking distance. All questions we had were answered right away by Valerie, who was wonderful. Thank you, Grainne, Tim and Valerie!

  • Grainne is a very nice host. She recommended several nice places in Dublin and around the area and was very precise on explaining all public transport possibilities or taxi company contacts.

The apartment was in perfect condition and very clean. It has a very cute and romantic fireplace :-) which makes it very cozy. It is a bit outside of the actual city center, which however, makes it a very nice and quiet place.

I can very much recommend the place for a stay in Dublin and Grainne and her family as very sweet hosts.

  • Grainne's apartment is beautiful- even prettier than the pictures! It was so open and airy and so beautifully decorated that we felt like we were staying at a 5 star hotel. The location is perfect for travelers: across the street from bus line into center city Dublin, 5 min. walk to Luas ( tram) line, and 5 min. walk to groceries. Grainne's kitchen cupboards are full of a good supply of kitchenware, so you can easily cook for yourself- but we aren't sure you will want to once you see all that Dublin has to offer to eat in the center of town! We settled for eating breakfast in so we could treat ourselves to all the wonderful restaurants for lunch and dinner. Grainne's bathroom was the most impressive we had all trip- plenty of room for two people to prep for the day at one time, and the best water pressure we experienced in Europe. She has a handy little laundry room off the bath that we put to good use after being on the road for two weeks. The water and heat are updated with modern energy saving controls, so read Grainne's instructions and you will have hot water and heat when you need it. It required just a bit of advance planning to shower 4 people each morning. Grainne provides a very thorough booklet on her counter with all the info you might need on the apartment, as well as contacts for her, her husband, and her neighbor, who checks in on you when Grainne and Tim aren't able to. The lower lkitchen cupboard is full of guide books and maps too. She sent us such great, quick, communication before our arrival, finding the place was very easy. Since we were driving a rental car across Ireland, we were very pleased to have secure gated parking behind the apt. My college aged kids loved the ability to have separate beds and good wifi connection. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. This was our family's first trip using airbnb, and I will definitely use airbnb again after having such a grand experience at Grainne's apt. and the other 2 places we stayed.

Thank you so much for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed the apartment so much and it is very nice to have our efforts appreciated. We endeavour to provide top quality accommodation at affordable prices and hope it enhances our guests overall Dublin vacation experience. Once again, many thanks Pam and we hope to see you again.

  • This location was phenomenal. The apartments are beautiful (we also rented the Cottage apartment in the same building) and are very well located. You can take the bus, the luas (tram), or just take a cheap cab ride right into the city. There is plenty of sleeping space. The owners are quite friendly, and even had a helpful guidebook waiting for us.

  • Great apartment in a nice area of Dublin. Very convenient to transportation, both buses and the LUAS, which will get you pretty much anywhere in the area quickly and cheaply. We rented a car for our visit, and the owners provided parking in the rear of the home. We also arrived very late on our first day, and arrangements were made to have someone meet us and let us in. Also enjoyed the local pubs, which provided a very interesting dining and drinking experience. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Dublin.

  • Grainne was a wonderfully communicative host, and made the whole process very smooth with advance planning and attention to detail. She even arranged for a midweek cleaning when we requested it, and it all went perfectly. My colleagues very much enjoyed the comfortable and well-appointed flat. This and the companion flat were the most luxurious places we rented for our team's Dublin stay! Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Grainne.

  • This was the first time we have ever used a service that airbnb provides. The experience was excellent. This location couldn't be any more perfect. You are right next to the tram to downtown Dublin. 10-15 minute ride max. We were able to arrange a time to check in on our schedule which was very helpful with the jet lag. The place was very clean and well equiped for our stay. Tim even went out and returned with bread and milk for tea. Would definitly stay here again when we return to Ireland. Thank you Grainne and Tim.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Grainne's apartment. The apartment was beautiful and spacious and the perfect place to come back to after touring Dublin. I suggest utilizing the driver she suggest; Rory was wonderful and very helpful in suggesting places to visit and ways to get around. Bus stops just down the street as well as a couple of grocery stores and pubs. We would most definetly stay again!
