  • Hans is a wonderful host and he could not have done more to make our stay in Chicago a wonderful experience. When we arrived, he was there to greet us and give us tips on places to eat locally as well as downtown. He provided a range of brochures of things to do which were all laid out on a table for us to peruse.

Hans' apartment is absolutely gorgeous with a view from the 29th floor to the Sears Tower and beyond. It is very conveniently located south of downtown and most places are a short ride on the train (the EL) away. The apartment is equipped it with everything you could want from the large kitchen to the very comfy bed, large couches and washing machine and dryer. This place is like staying in your own home it is so large and comfy. We loved it!!

  • First experience with airbnb and we could not have been happier. Our host Hans was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to make our stay stress-free. The apartment was cozy without feeling like you were invading someone else's home. The location was perfect for our agenda. Within walking distance to the museums, Millennium Park, "L" lines and Mag Mile. I would not hesitate to book with Hans again in the future.

  • Everything was perfect. Hans met as as he said he would and the place was clean and welcoming and very well located. The CTA was right there as were Trader Jo's and many restaurants.

  • Great apartment, great location, great city! Communication with Hans was very easy and his directions were excellent. The apartment on 29th floor exceeded our expectations - very comfortable, spacious, high quality furnishings & with everything we needed for our stay - even evening sunshine for a sundowner on the balcony! We would highly recommend Hans' apartment for your base in Chicago.

  • We had a fantastic time staying here, Hans gave us a great welcome and showed us how everything worked. The flat is even better than it looks in the photos, huge and light and new. Would stay here again.

  • Man, Hans' place was great! We were so fortunate to find this listing as the ever-busy ASCO healthcare conference was going on and everywhere and everything was booked.

The neighborhood was great and quiet, yet close enough to everything to get there by foot. We started off our mornings by walking through Grant Park.

The bus line and El train are also just a few blocks away. There is a Starbucks, Trader Joes and plenty of places to eat at nearby. If you are going to Soldier Field, Shedd Aquarium, or FirstMerit Bank Pavilion (a concert venue), its only about a 10 minute walk.

Super, super fast wi-fi if you'll be working like I was and need really fast Internet :)

Good restaurant suggestions, immaculately clean, and great communication. Also, free on-site parking was a big plus, especially in the city.

    Perfect stay.

  • Hans is the perfect host. His apartment is lovely with every convenience needed for a pleasant stay. The view is to die for and the proximity to museums, transportation, grocery stores, and eateries is the best. We appreciate the communication with Hans prior to our visit and his handy reference notes left to remind us of how to use the underground garage, locations of things, etc. We highly recommend this residence.

  • Hans's place was just perfect. Great situation for our two-night stay - easy to get to the sights and good places to eat nearby. And the flat itself is gorgeous - just as described and photographed. Comfortable, stylish, light; and great views. The best thing of all is Hans himself, who was there to meet us and to tell us all we needed to know. Generous, warm, helpful. I'd definitely go back (if he'd have me!) Highly recommended all round.

  • Hans was a great host - always timely with communication - responding within an hour or two to any questions. He picked us up from the train station because it was raining! His apartment is awesome! The bed is super comfy and the apartment is very quiet - easy to sleep. He stocks toiletries, linens and coffee. His building has a doorman and feels very safe/secure. Great views looking towards the Roosevelt Street bridge. Super close to the Planetarium, Aquarium, and Natural History Museum - a 5 minute walk! Very safe neighborhood. Hans and his apartment were above and beyond what we were hoping for!!!
