Our apartment is a two-bedroom on 1st floor in a small apartment building. The building is a typical Oslo-building from the 1890's. The listing is for 1 private room with double bed. Occasionally we also list the whole apartment
Guests have access to bathroom (shower, washer, heated floor), fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, juicer, coffee grinder, freezer, microwave and more), living room and balcony. Including wifi, towels, bedsheets, hair dryer, umbrella, travel adapter, picnic equipment, If you'd like to go camping in the nearby forest, you can borrow camping equipment (sleeping bags, back packs, tent etc) and we'll be happy to point you to great spots.
Interaction with Guests
We, Anne and Eirik, live here, so bathroom/kitchen/livingroom/balcony is shared. We also have 2 cats, Habitus and Trøffel!
The building is located in a rather quiet street very close to the city centre. We are in walking distance to most attractions including the Opera and the Edvard Munch museum and a lot of bars and restaurants. Several grocery stores and cheap veggie-shops. Lots of green spaces nearby, including Oslo botanical garden. Why not go for a picnic?
Easy walking distance to city centre, subway, several bus and tram routes. 30 min walk to the island ferries. The nearest subway is 4 mins away. You won't really need it for exploring the city center, but it gives you an easy access to Oslo's surrounding forests. After 7 mins from our place the subway goes above ground and in 30 mins it will take you up 469 meters above sea level and into the forest.
Other Things to Note
We provide basic breakfast (cereals, milk, jam, coffee, tea).
We love our flat and our cats, so please be nice to them. Smoking only on the balcony. This is a rather quiet building, so no parties or additional guests.
Anne and Eirik were very nice friendly hosts, provided plenty of tips for dinner and nice areas to explore in Oslo together with some maps. The room was neat, comfortable and colorful, and the apartment nice. We checked out late, but they were very accommodating, we could leave our bags at the apartment until our flight home. Walking distance of Oslo central, the city center, the botanical gardens and some other nice areas. Recommended.
We had a wonderful, if very short, stay with Anne Laura and Irik. They went all out to facilitate our arrival and departure as well as give us perfect suggestions for our short stay in Oslo. Truffel is their exceptionally charismatic cat who delighted us with his personality while Habitus is a true cat napper. Our hosts are both professionals who are engaging persons with socially meaningful lives. And great conversationalists too! I wish we had the opportunity to get to know them as friends. Their apartment, in an ethnically rich neighborhood, is colorfully decorated and very comfortable--especially the bed. We had a great stay and would definitely return.
Anne and her husband are very warm-hearted，he even met us at the train ststion,we are really very appreciate about them，the room is also clean and warmful.
Anne and Eric were great hosts. They came all the way to the Oslo S to receive us which was very nice and thoughtful of them. We arrived late (10 PM) and left very early (around 6 AM the day after) and they were very accommodating about it. We only had one day to spend in Oslo but Anne and Eric gave some really good suggestions on what to cover (including some nice places to eat and an amazing local brewery). The room is quiet nice and super comfy. The neighborhood has a bit of immigrant population but we never felt unsafe, and its just 10 mins from OsloS. Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone considering a stay in Oslo.
Flat description is right and Anne was very kind before and during our staied.
Good choose if you are looking for a small but beautiful place near train station.
100% satisfaction. Anne and her husband are super nice. As we took the overnight train from Bergen and arrived at Oslo around 6:30 am. Despite an early morning arrival, they came to the station and walked with us to their lovely home. When we arrived at their home, two amazing cats were already there and welcomed us. If you love cat, it is place for you.
Perfect location in a interesting district. In some stores, you can easily buy food in a very low price (even cheaper than Hong Kong).
Anne and her husband showed us how they love their city. They told us some special places worth to visit in Oslo.
About the Host, Anne Laura
I'm a cultural anthropologist, I work in humanitarian aid, and I love cats, perfume, ballet and traveling. I'm also quite passionate about food. Luckily I married another cultural anthropologist, Eirik, who works magic in the kitchen.
Even though I love traveling, Oslo is still one of my favourite places to be. It's small enough for most things to be in walking distance, the cultural scene is extensive and the many, many restaurants offer a variety of kitchens from all over the world.
I mostly work nights, so I'm usually quite flexible during daytime. Unless I'm at work I'll be happy to meet you at the central bus/train station.
