Tastefully decorated take their place next to modern furniture and turn this fancy apartment into a cosy, cheerful and welcoming space where to spend wonderful and relaxed holidays. Ideally situated in a typical street next to Largo Camões, in the elegant Chiado district and at a walking distance of Brasileira Café made famous by Fernando Pessoa, Theatres, and all the main Touristic sites. The apartment affords many delights within walking distance. This privileged location offers easy access by foot to the subway, a easy walk only a few meters from the known Camões Square where you have everything walking distance, pastries, shops, restaurant and the fancy famous Rua Gatrret main street on Chiado.
This apartment has 4 bedrooms and is a very spacious apartment for a group.
Bedroom 1 – 1 double bed
Bedroom 2 - 1 double bed
Bedroom 3 – 1 single bed
Bedroom 4 – 2 singles (it’s a inner bedroom)
On the living room, the sofa bed is big and confortable, considered also a sleeping option up to 2.
The aparment has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bath rooms, and huge garden/terrace as a welcome extra. For amenities there is cable TV (with international channels), books, games and wi-fi internet with unlimited connection.
Neighboring Chiado is an elegant, sophisticated district of theaters, bookshops, old-style cafes, art nouveau jewelry shops and luxurious international names such as Hermes and Cartier. All of this makes it one of the most prestigious areas in the world according to a worldwide study conducted by an international company in 2005, ranking it ninth right after well-known places like 5th Avenue in New York, Oxford Street in London, and the Champs Elysees in Paris. Although it may lack much of the glitz of those famous streets, it scored points for charm and the quality of customer service in its businesses. Bairro Alto: is a picturesque working class quarter dating from the 16th century that has traditionally been the city’s bohemian haunt of artists and writers. Its grid of streets is quiet during the day, but is transformed at night into the city’s vibrant nightlife quarter. It is located right around the corner.
Be welcome and stay with us!
Great apartment for a large group! Plenty of space and the outside terrace was used a lot. Apartment was very central!
This is a great apartment!
We stayed here with a group of 7 and really enjoyed the accommodation. It's location is fantastic. The shops, bars, restaurants and subway/train/bus stations are only a few minutes walk away.
The apartment is spacious, clean and has a great patio. It felt like home :)
I would definitely recommend this!
We were 3 couples staying here and thought it was a terrific place to stay in Lisbon. Central. Clean, Funky. Has every amenity you could ask for with a blinding fast internet connection (in case that floats your boat). We got held up driving down from Porto and kept the owner waiting for 90mins before we arrived, but still she met us with a smile on her face without seeming upset whatsoever.
If you're going to visit Lisbon you need to be located in either Chiado or Barrio Alto to experience it properly. This apartment is right in the middle of all the action. You're also very close to a subway station (Baxia Chiado) and most of the good shops and restaurants are within close walking distance from the apartment.
I wouldn't recommend however is having a car while you're staying here though. The streets are narrow winding and uneven and parking is pricey.
Dont hesitate to stay here.
7 of us stayed for 7 days over the Christmas holidays.
All in all, the apartment was good. Great location, lots of room, and
all on one floor. There is a very nice open patio, which is sunny--a
plus in the spring, perhaps, but not of much use in the winter. The
street is quiet, with excellent nearby restaurants, decent nightlife,
and ready access to neighborhood markets for veggies, meat, fish, and
wine. Tram 28 runs a block away, and it's a short walk to the metro.
There's free wi-fi in the living room, and cable with English language.
The apartment could use a bit of work. The dryer doesn't really dry, it
doesn't have a hair dryer (which was a supposed to be included), and the
circuit breaker blows if the hot water heater (necessary for showers,
and adequate) is on as the same time as a space heater and another
appliance (like a tea kettle or dishwasher).
The apartment is not wheelchair accessible. Though it's on one floor,
with only a single step, the problem is with reaching the address
itself. The street terminates 50 feet from the door, which is down a
flight of stairs from the nearest car--lots of buildings in this area
are "walk-to" only, and this is one of them.
All in all, a fair value for the money.
We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was very quiet and comfortable, but still just around the corner the hustle and bustle of the Chiado neighborhood. Lots of great restaurants nearby (Madelana gave us a listing of the very best). Having a Nespresso machine is a really great idea for a vacation rental, but it would have made life easier in the first few jetlag-filled days if just a few coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine had been provided. It may be common in Europe, but we were surprised to not have soap and shampoo provided. The garden was a great place for a child to play. All around a great place!
Really next to Bairro Alto.. Great patio, nice appartment. Maria was very helpfull. Great place to stay in Lisbon and is way better than a Hotel.
The apartment&courtyard garden was amazing! Simply a dream! Madalena&colleague Maria where very nice to deal with, all contact was polite&warm hearted. They also gave us many good tips on things to see&do in Lisboa.
On the first night, we noticed that the dishwasher&stove wasn't working, yet they sent someone who repaired it bright&early the next morning&they compensated us very well, also with great portwine :)
All in all, they were excellent hosts, even as we asked(the night before arrival)if we can bring 3 more people the planned, it was all taken care of & was not a problem.
I would recommend the appartment in Chiado & our great hosts Madalena&Maria anytime & we would love to return this fall.
