A beautiful place to stay - very comfortable with everything I needed. Superb breakfast ingredients and Jude is a fantastic host who has makes you feel very welcome. Enjoyed the many little personal touches to the environment. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic place to stay ! This is a little peaceful oasis and Jude was a wonderful host.
The studio was welcoming spacious and well appointed.
Our breakfast was the best - a veritable feast of healthy delicious produce.
We could have stayed longer !
We had our batteries recharged before the long drive around the East Cape.
Jude have truly enjoyed staying two nights in Jude's home. She is a fabulous host, very lovely and warm-hearted. The whole house is self-contained and has a fantastic garden. Jude's breakfast was a dream. I would love to stay again at Jude's place!
Jude was a fantastic host - really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, very cosy and private and the breakfast in the morning was great. It was a wonderful place to break our journey and my husband and I felt incredibly refreshed as we continued our drive along the Pacific Coast highway.
Hosts were very warm, friendly and welcoming ! The space is very inspiring and cozy. I loved the eclectic feel and the thoughtful touches, such as coffee and tea, and even some fresh herbs were provided!
The breakfast Jude served was absolutely great, featuring garden grown fruit and veggies.
Just 3kms from the beach, this was the perfect place to stay for surfing.
a wonderful warm welcome from Jude who made sure I had everything I needed
Even cooked me some eggs for breakfast!!
The breakfast was filling and nutritious, delicious thanks
Lots of walks not too far distant
I went to school nearby, found the town of Whakatane and Ohope to be warm friendly Whaka has a nice feel, some good eateries and watering holes and if you are into fishing from beach or boat, this area is wonderful
Airy suite attached to the main house , with modern private bath, very comfy bed, and eclectic furnishings. Sunny and warm outlook adjacent to rambling eco-garden. Good high speed Wi-Fi. Jude provided tasty scrummy organic cooked breakfasts (or continental style if you prefer) in the room, and Jude was sympathetic to my finicky diet. Jude and husband are very hospitable , and we had good chat over a glass of wine. Some road noise from the nearby highway which maybe distracting if guests are expecting to sit quietly in the garden , but quietens down at night , and with the windows closed (nights were chilly) no sleep disturbance. Driveway entrance is a bit obscure and needs care as it is steep with a tight bend. Care also needed exiting the driveway onto the main highway with fast traffic in both directions. Overall nice experience , and don't forget to pat Tex the friendly old black Lab!
