  • We had a great time in this cozy, fully equipped cottage. The hosts, Barbara and Dick, are lovely--available, nonintrusive, helpful in any way you need help. The view is spectacular--especially if you take advantage of the two small kayaks they offer. A wee bit out and you see the most incredible view of Mt Rainier ever!

  • Amazing location, super cute and sweet cottage with stunning views. Music playing as we entered was a nice touch. Barbara was very helpful with info about kayaking and our visit to Olympia. The pictures are right on, but the experience is even better. I have already recommended to friends and will definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area. Thanks Barbara and Dick for making your place available. It was an absolute pleasure!

  • We had a great time staying at the cottage. The pictures don't do the view justice, which is best seen from the hammock a few steps from the front door. Felt nice and secluded, but its just a few miles up the road to a shopping area, and downtown Olympia is just a few more miles on the freeway. The cottage itself was felt homey and was very clean. Our favorite part was the kayaks and the wildlife rich beach at the bottom of the trail.

  • We loved our time at the Magical Pugent Sound Cottage! The location is absolutely beautiful. There is a trail down behind the house that leads you down to a beach park to enjoy. We dug for clams! It's s peaceful to watch sailboats and happy dogs playing in the water. The cottage is cozy and comfortable:) It's a great place to spend time. An artist would be in their glory to paint here!

  • While we had to bail on staying here, the hosts were awesome at communicating with us and let us know we could swing by to hang out in the hammock in the morning.

  • Our stay at the Puget Sound Beach Cottage was wonderful. The Cottage provided everything that was needed, including the most beautiful view of the Puget Sound.

My brothers and I used the weekend as a small family reunion, and it served our purposes well. A small BBQ on the deck gave us an opportunity to dine outside each night in the yard. After eating we would walk down to the beach, and hike along the sound to watch the sunset. Upon returning we had the choice of making a beachside fire each night.

The cottage was very clean, and well maintained. It has a large bed, and a foldout couch. The hosts provided a small continental breakfast for us the first morning. There were plenty of board games, which we used each evening. Overall it was a great experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small peaceful getaway.

  • What a fantastic getaway! This cute and charming cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay - a thoughtfully stocked mini-fridge, a small but efficient kitchen area and a really comfortable bed.

Best of all is the fabulous location -- it seemed like every sunset was more beautiful than the previous. We loved sitting outdoors overlooking Puget Sound, serenaded by birds!

The pebble beach in front is delightful and it's a nice walk to the nearby State Park.

    Lovely hosts too!

  • A wonderful, quiet retreat. The hospitality is unparalleled - Barbara and Dick truly think of everything you could possibly need, and then some! It was great to feel so far removed from everything just a few miles from the city. Would be a bit tight for 4, but is perfect for 1 or 2.

About
Welcome to Puget View! We live in the log house that shares the property with the cottage and Brittany's Bayside Bungalow, also listed on this site. (We're Brittany's parents :) We love this special, beautiful place and look forward to sharing it with you. We've hosted many wonderful guests over the years, but are new to Airbnb. Barb's happy when she's expressing her inner artist. Dick, an OSU forester, will help you identify any tree you have a question about. Together, our interests are outdoor-adventure oriented---whether it's bicycling across the country, summiting a NW peak, Kili, or Fuji. Over the last two years we've done a lot of walking/long distance hiking in Great Britain, Europe, Africa, Nepal, Asia. Recuperating now from 250 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail/John Muir Trail in High Sierras---and home to stay. Yay! We look forward to meeting you and providing a beautiful, inspiring place for you to enjoy.
