This coastal dwelling has been fully retrofitted by myself as a small eco-conscious model for simple sustainable elemental living. It is ideal for individuals and couples who are eco-conscious, mindful, creative and love and appreciate simple minimalist living. This space is my holistic healing + visual arts studio so it is a sacred expression of who I am and how I walk in the world and what I want to offer to my community and people on journey. It is also my meditation and sanctuary space where I rejuvenate and reconnect with myself and loved ones. My intention is to share my home with like-minded individuals who are looking to live consciously, creatively and be inspired by small dwellings that rest gently on the earth, that celebrates beauty, craft, serenity and light. All interior and exterior furnishings and fine art assemblages are hand crafted, designed and built by myself the owner or custom built by local artisans using recycled & reclaimed material. The space is creatively vibrant while simultaneously calm and serene with ample natural light filtering in throughout the morning, day and dusk hours. A newly built front porch and landscape welcomes you while the back yard opens to a patio for outdoor dining and relaxing. My home is in the banana belt area of Monterey Bay, a working class coastal neighborhood with great diversity, diverse ethnic cuisine, authenticity and conveniently located right next to Monterey, Carmel & Pacific Grove, Carmel Valley and Big Sur just off Hwy One. The house is only five minutes to Monterey, Carmel and the Monterey Airport. It is half way between Santa Cruz & Big Sur for those traveling up or down the Highway One corridor to LA or SF. Interaction with Guests
My interaction is minimal with guests, short and sweet, allowing them the space to create their experience as they wish and see fit. My intention is to meet each guest in person, however, I realize this might not always be possible. Early check in hours, 3-5pm, is best for me in welcoming you in person, however, this might not always be possible due to work commitments. I am always available to communicate by phone to answer any questions or needs that you might have before or during your stay. I appreciate communication prior to arrival as to when your exact arrival time will be so we can coordinate logistics and your stay.
My neighborhood is raw, authentic, diverse and humble in nature. It's the working class neighborhood of Monterey, more urban in character yet still neighborly and inviting. I love it because it's honest, real and not pretentious. It has the feel of a city in a coastal town, currently growing and expanding into a beautiful sustainable model for living. It's visually understated, some finding a bit rough around the edges in comparison to adjacent Carmel, however, as an artist, designer and simple person who enjoys simple living, I greatly appreciate, value and see the beauty in this and also beyond this.
There is a convenient public transit just a block from my house that can take you in to Monterey. The Monterey airport is less than ten minutes away and Highway One is just a mile away. I recommend if you have bikes and are avid cyclists to bike into Monterey and Pacific Grove from my house. You will experience the Monterey Bay in an intimate way along the coast, amongst the Cypress and Eucalyptus trees. Getting around is easy!

A truly beautiful and unique home! This house is small in terms of square footage but has an airy and expansive feel. Perfect getaway spot for my best friend and I. Well equipped kitchen, cozy bed, and close to the beach, what more could you want?
The house is better and bigger than pictured. It's a really peaceful retreat surrounded by various types of herbs. Great architectural details and personal art pieces by Tracy. Kitchen is amazing! Great place to stay if you are planning on exploring nearby areas-- easy access to all the top attractions. I would recommend this place to friends.
We had a peaceful, private, quiet week in Tracy's unique, sunny, artistic home. The bed was large and very comfortable, the living area sunny and welcoming, and the kitchen well appointed. Outside was a picnic table to enjoy lunch in the beautiful February weather. Close to all of Monterey Bay attractions, it is in a convenient location with easy parking access.
The reservation was canceled 19 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a great time staying at Tracy's place! It was refreshing and very bright inside - we loved the big windows. It is easy to find being near a main street while also being nestled in a quiet crescent. We stayed here on our way from San Francisco to LA and it was a perfect quiet stop between the big cities!
One of the best perks about using Airbnbs is the variety of homes you have the opportunity to stay in. Tracy's home is so lovely and it was such a unique and wonderful experience to stay in her clean, modern, and utilitarian home. All the essentials were there and I had a great relaxing weekend. Tracy is also a great host—easy to communicate with and very welcoming.
We had a lovely stay at this little sanctuary. It had wonderful light and a uniquely modern interior. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was nice. We also liked the two headed shower in the bathroom. The house is a short drive away from the beach as we as as Carmel and Monterey. We were there for a conference and needed a place away from the action so we could relax before our speaking engagements. This place place provided the needed solace we were looking for. The kitchen was very modern and beautiful with lots of pots and pants to use as well as a coffee maker and refrigerator. There was not washer/dryer which was fine.
The only thing I think should be pointed out is that amenities such as a hairdryer, iron or ironing board are not included so we had to buy these (to get ready for the conference and all). Not such a big deal, especially if we were just here for vacation.
I have my own business as an artist, environmental designer, energy healer and creative guide. I am passionate about elemental and regenerative living, yoga, meditation, music, the arts, nature and exploring the outdoors, cultures and all things sacred. I believe in simple living and living life to the fullest. I see the home as sanctuary, as a place to honor what's sacred and a place of rejuvenation from the world we inhabit beyond. A place to share with loved ones and nourish the soul.
