Quiet. Private sunroom plus bath/bedroom. New bed/mattress. Refrigerator/ microwave/kettle/coffee/tea.
Original art everywhere. Many books. Cat outside. Dog inside (not in your room).
Family neighborhood. Near Mo-pac to downtown, bus, many coffee shops & cafes, hip Burnet Rd. district.
Enter your colorful, art and book-filled room through a private sunroom. All the art is original and from a variety of mostly local artists. Your own bath is across the hall. You'll have a small refrigerator, microwave and the means to make coffee or tea in your room. I'll provide a morning snack.
Wireless internet is available.
My pets are never in your space but you may meet Claire-the-cat at the outside door. Sally-the-dog loves to visit and often stays. So does my partner Brady and you may hear him playing the fiddle on the deck.
You have a private entrance and a private bath. My room is next to yours but I use a separate bath. The room is lockable if you wish. Non-smoking.
Interaction with Guests
I'll be present to welcome and help get you settled.
I am reachable by cell phone for questions when I'm out. While I can be very sociable, I like to give everyone as much privacy as they desire.
This is a great neighborhood for walking. There is a great mix of ages and you'll see lots of people walking dogs and strolling with little ones. Within a few blocks are eateries of every kind, coffee shops, bookstores and a library. And cool thrift shops!
There is a bus stop one block from my (website hidden)-Pac (Loop 1) is just 3 blocks away and will take you downtown or to Auditorium Shores in 10 minutes. At rush hour it can take a bit longer.
Other Things to Note
Because Mo-Pac is near, it's also easy to get to South Austin in 15-20 minutes. Music is everywhere as are theatres and movies.
I turn in between 11 and 12 but guests keep their own hours. I only ask for quiet if you come in late. (No drum solos!)
All else is good!
Very lovely home and hospitable host. Communication was very good and home is in a great location. Having sunroom was good for keeping room quiet for baby to fall asleep in.
It was a great stay and Beverly and her husband were kind and welcoming. She left everything we needed in the room, along with some snacks, coffee and tea. The room is clean and comfortable.
Fabulous week in Austin, perfect stay at Bev's place! As usual! Bev is so attentive to all details a traveler might need: snacks, space, privacy, etc. Add to that her location location location (Allendale neighborhood is centrally located and easy to move to, from, and around in), and Bev's place is perfect. And her chihuahua Hank is a doll! I hope to return for spring break again next year!
I stayed at Beverly's house for a few days during SXSW. It was just what I was looking for - clean, comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. Beverly is a fantastic host. Very welcoming, friendly and considerate. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks again for everything Beverly :)
One of my best airbnb experiences ever (and I had many!).
The area is super nice, the room is clean, light, confortable bed and most important, it has an independent entrance what makes you feel you´re in your own apartment.
Then, what to say about Beverly and her partner? They´re beautiful people, very charm and laid back. Super recommendable!
This is my second stay with Beverly and just like the first, very comfortable and relaxing. Beverly and her home is an awesome alternative to a hotel. Everything we needed was there along with a gratious host which made our stay so much better and personable. We look forward to our next opportunity to visit Austin and know where to go to feel at home. Thank you Beverly!
WOW what an experience it was to stay at this amazing adobe of Beverly! Everything was like and better than what was described! Just loved every bit of the stay and Beverly made us feel at home from the moment we met. The place was clean and had all the necessary stuffs. Couldn't get to spend much time with Beverly but she was a very sweet host and would like to visit the place again.
I'm a writer, retired social worker, artist who has lived in Austin 40 years. I garden, dance, read, swim and tell jokes (only on request). (Usually). My partner Brady and pups Sally and Hank often visit so you may hear a fiddle being played on the deck. And a discreet bark now and then.
