Private room w/own sunroom & bath

House - Private room · West Frances Place, Austin, TX 78731, United States

Quiet. Private sunroom plus bath/bedroom. New bed/mattress. Refrigerator/ microwave/kettle/coffee/tea.

Original art everywhere. Many books. Cat outside. Dog inside (not in your room).

Family neighborhood. Near Mo-pac to downtown, bus, many coffee shops & cafes, hip Burnet Rd. district.

The Space

Enter your colorful, art and book-filled room through a private sunroom. All the art is original and from a variety of mostly local artists. Your own bath is across the hall. You'll have a small refrigerator, microwave and the means to make coffee or tea in your room. I'll provide a morning snack.

Wireless internet is available.

My pets are never in your space but you may meet Claire-the-cat at the outside door. Sally-the-dog loves to visit and often stays. So does my partner Brady and you may hear him playing the fiddle on the deck.

Guest Access

You have a private entrance and a private bath. My room is next to yours but I use a separate bath. The room is lockable if you wish. Non-smoking.

Interaction with Guests

I'll be present to welcome and help get you settled.
I am reachable by cell phone for questions when I'm out. While I can be very sociable, I like to give everyone as much privacy as they desire.

The Neighborhood

This is a great neighborhood for walking. There is a great mix of ages and you'll see lots of people walking dogs and strolling with little ones. Within a few blocks are eateries of every kind, coffee shops, bookstores and a library. And cool thrift shops!

Getting around

There is a bus stop one block from my (website hidden)-Pac (Loop 1) is just 3 blocks away and will take you downtown or to Auditorium Shores in 10 minutes. At rush hour it can take a bit longer.

Other Things to Note

Because Mo-Pac is near, it's also easy to get to South Austin in 15-20 minutes. Music is everywhere as are theatres and movies.

  • Beverly's place is even nicer than described and she and her partner Brady are real gems. Coffee, tea, light breakfast each morning. Conversation and friendship if you're open! The sunroom is a great addition- having that added space really makes the place feel like a little apartment and not just a bedroom. There are so many incredible places to eat that it's almost a blessing not to have a kitchen.

We loved everything about this stay- as did our 3 year old daughter. A happy, healthy time. Thank you, Beverly!

  • What a fabulous find in Austin! Beverly is the perfect host; she is charming and friendly and leaves the best edible goodies! The guest accommodations are spacious and private. I loved sitting in the sunroom when I wasn't out exploring fabulous Austin. The location is perfect - just the right amount north!

  • I had a late arrival and early departure for my all to brief time in Austin. Beverly worked with my so that a friend could pick up the key for me, which was great. Upon arriving to the room it looked just like the picture. The bed was comfortable and it had a private access and sun room. I was only able to briefly meet Beverly since I was out exploring Austin all day, but she was very friendly. If you are looking for a very nice place while staying in Austin look no further then here.

  • This BNB is very welcoming, comfortable and homey. Beverly is a wonderful host and her accommodations were infused with her creative touch including sprays of fresh flowers and delicious coffee and pumpkin bread. The neighbor hood is quiet and friendly and I slept like a log! If you like to walk, bring your walking shoes. Great place for a stroll.

  • I don't know where to begin... I think the best example we could give about how much we enjoyed our stay is that we initially intended on staying for 2 nights, but ended up staying 5! Beverly was increadibly accomodating each time we extended our stay and we felt like part of the family by the time we left (we would have stayed if we could!).

The best thing about our stay was Beverly, she is the most amazing host; not only did she have amazing breads, yogurt and fruit awaiting us on our arrival, but she was so welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed having a chat and a glass of wine with her and Brady (not forgetting the lovely Sally!) one evening, such an interesting couple.

The room itself is very comfortable and immaculate with fab artwork adorning the walls, we also had our own entrance and sun room which was great!

We are already planning our return to Austin which we have totally fallen in love with and we definitely hope to be staying with Beverly when we do!

I could go on and on! Thank you Beverly x

ps Our favourite spots in Austin were 'Mozarts'; a beautiful and tranquil cafe by the lake, 'The Violet Crown Cinema'; a cool arthouse cinema with delicious food and great drinks and 'Whole Foods'; if you're a fan, this is the mothership!

  • Very attractive room with lovely art and coffee and fruit and nut bread for breakfast which all would have been more than enough but add in a most delightful hostess. I couldn't ask for more . The neighborhood is well kept and convenient to most everywhere one could want to go in Austin.

  • Beverly was a lovely and thougthful host. Everything was super clean and comfy, and she even left us Pumpkin Bread for breakfast! So sweet, we'd stay with her again!

  • Beverly Voss was a wonderful hostess! To say that the accommodation was excellent is a definite understatement. Beverly ensured that nothing was lacking and that we felt totally comfortable during our stay.

  • Very nice and clean room conveniently located to downtown Austin. The bed was comfortable and Beverely allowed us to adjust the AC to our prefence. We had a coffee maker, frig, and microwave in our room which had a separate entrance and sitting room. She also bought us muffins and banana bread for breakfast. Overall, highly recommended.
