This home is a spacious converted barn with 2 bedrooms, and kitchen/family room, studio, loft and one bathroom. It is set in the woods just a few miles from Lake Superior. Being off the shore of Lake Superior has it's advantages--it is quieter and at night so dark that if it is clear you can reach out and touch the millions of stars in the sky. The grounds are ample with a large covered patio and fire ring.

The space
This is a working studio with a great room that is perfect for yoga, dance, photography, or ? The studio is decorated with stunning original photographs of Minnesota and Lake Superior.

Guest access
Living quarters and studio as well as proximity to the largest lake in the world and the world-class scenery that surrounds it.

Other things to note
There is very fast wifi (30Mbs up/30Mbs down). Cell service works if you have a wifi-enabled cell phone.

Please do not drive on the patio!

There is a full kitchen for cooking, however, we do not supply any food items! The terms of our rental permit don't allow us. Please prepare by bringing your own supplies. Kindly do your dishes before you leave. Thank you.

This is a converted barn located in a rural setting. The home is approximately 100 feet from a quiet county road and 200 feet from neighbors. It is my home and working studio. As it is located in a natural setting there is apt to be the occasional spider or bug that finds its way indoors. I prefer to just deal with the occasional spider rather than spray chemicals all around my home. I should also note that during the summer months there have been occasional visits by bears and therefore I do not recommend leaving food or food wrappers in your car.

This facility has been permitted by Lake County Land Use & Zoning and permitted by the State Health Department as a vacation home rental.

If you are looking for something unique and different then please come and have a great time.

The Superior Hiking Trail has 3 trailheads within 3 miles. There are several trailheads for cross-country skiing within a few miles including the Two Harbors Golf Course Trail. The North Shore Bike Trail begins at Gooseberry State Park-9miles away. The State Snowmobile Trail has a trailhead less than 8 miles away. Lakeview National Golf Course is located about 8 miles away in Two Harbors.
