My apartment is appraised for it's great view over the city to both sides and the cosy atmosphere! I like to have friends over, cook for them and enjoy the late sunset. Through the large windows you can almost see it disappear into the sea. The same goes for the start of the day, sitting on my balcony enjoying a nice breakfast! I'm happy - if I can match it with a holiday or a trip - to offer it to guests from all over the world. I enjoy the contact with the global; community as I know at the end we will end up richer in experiences and maybe even friendships!
Back to the house: Just like a penthouse, the apartment overlooks the city to both sides (west and east). You can see the towers of the old city center (to the east) and enjoy the rich panorama of ever changing typical Dutch sky (like the old painters). The great views and the amount of freedom and privacy make it a splendid place to live and to offer to guests as well.
The living room has a nice big couch, a comfi leather chair, a sounds music set (NAD), a full colelction of music (world, jazz, classic, pop) and lot's of (Dutch!) books. It has a nice open kitchen and a dining table that seats 6 people. Further there is a balcony that offers a good deal of sunshine and in the summertime you can also use the courtyard that comes with the building.
The direct area offers a super rich collection of restaurants (of nearly all world cultures!), bars, markets, theaters, art galleries, lunch places and coffee bars. Furthermore it is at just 400m of the nice, lively and green Vondelpark and at walking distance to the center.
Arriving by public transport is easy. It just takes you 10 min by train from Schiphol to Lelylaan station and then you take tram 1 or 17 for approximately 5 stops (another 10 min) and then the last 5 min walking! You can take exactly the same trams form Amsterdam Central station, it then takes a little more time. But get out at the same stops.
I have free wifi and you can use my guitar (although you need to respect the neighbours with silence after 10pm). If you've practiced enough you can decide on giving your live concert in the Vondelpark (and earn money to cover for your entire holiday)!

Eric proved a wonderful host. His house was as described and we enjoyed the great views with all the comforts of home. He is generous to share his lovely home with others. We found part of his extensive CD collection covered classical music and listened to several on his stereo.
We have visited Amsterdam several times and picked Eric's home because it placed us in a different part of the city. We walked to city center several times using Vonderlpark or some of the suburban streets. There is also easy access (3 or 4 blocks walk) to Tram lines 1 and 17.
Eric's home is highly recommended for your consideration when looking for Amsterdam accommodations.
Great stay, wonderful host, nice place, nice music, very well located. The perfect place.
staying at Erics aparment was a pleasure. The aparment is located in a really nice area and was super clean. The communication with eric was easy and fun. The check in was easy as well. The aparment offers everything you need. If you are looking for a aparment in amsterdam you should definitely stay there. I highly recommend eric's aparment
Ericś place is great! cozy, nice and in a great location.
You are really close to the park, nice little shops and restaurants, Van Gogh museum... really easy to get around on the tram!
Eric is great! unfortunately we did not have time to do stuff together! next time!
take care Eric!
Eric was excellent at communication throughout the process. His apartment was just as seen in the photos; spacious, clean, stylish, and has a lovely view! Located at an amazing location of central Amsterdam but also a quiet neighborhood, close from Vondelpark.
Eric and I got along very well and enjoyed picnic, jazz live and breakfast together as friends. He is an amazing chef too!
It's hard not to recommend this place and Eric to others. I had a great time, thank you!
Eric was a great host, he helped me a lot with very nice tips, on how to ride the bicycle and through all the things that a newbie in Amsterdam needs to know :-) The apartment is very good for who wants to rest after a hole day of walking and cycling around. No noise at all. It's a incredible neighborhood and the building its just by the canal. Beautiful. He has a very good taste on music and food and it's always interested in what we like to do, what are our choices in life... a very social and smart person. I recommend staying here :)
Eric is very hospitable and generous; his apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet, and inviting. His apartment is just a few minutes from the main part of the city but away from most tourists. I felt at home as soon as I met Eric. Since it was my first stay in Amsterdam, he was very helpful in helping me determine what to see around the city and where to eat. He shared his food, so I also got to have some good Dutch comfort food. I was only there for two days but we had time to get to know each other. Thanks Eric!
Eric is a great host! I started as a host with airbnb myself, and so it was fun to be the guest. I'm really glad to have had Eric as my first host. He is caring, fun-spirited, an all around open and cheerful person who enjoys sharing stories. Amsterdam is an incredible place and I had a chance to have unique Amsterdam experiences, and that was thanks to Eric. Thanks again Eric, and hope to chat soon! :)
Eric has a very nice apartment and the location is conveniently located close to transit and the centre while being far enough away to be in a more quiet and relaxed neighbourhood. I really enjoyed having a more homey place to stay and found it suited my travel plans quite well. Eric is an excellent host and I would definitely recommend the Casi di Hasi to other travellers!
Eric! What can I say! He's a great guy, awesome immaculate apartment in a great location and Eric is a FANTASTIC host! Tram 1 leads to everything you'll want to check out in Amsterdam, Eric has maps provided and he shared with me his fridge which is very heartwarming after being on the road for 3 weeks. Thank you Eric! You're the best!
