This beautiful flat in SoHo, an eclectic neighbourhood of new and old, comes equipped with everything. Decorated with a touch of modernity, along the historical streets where Sun Yat Sen once walked, you find a urban home with a magnificent rooftop.
Welcome to Hong Kong, and especially to the neighbourhood of SoHo! My neighbourhood is a perfect reflection of the city itself, an eclectic mix of old and new. The apartment is decorated to reflect a taste of modernity, along the historical streets where Sun Yat Sen once walked.
Being in one of Hong Kong’s most sought after locations; the flat is an urban getaway, comfortable, clean and the perfect place to launch an adventure or a relaxing rendezvous, as you explore the ins and outs of this beautiful city.
Situated on the top floor of a historic Chinese walk-up, this 1 bedroom apartment is spacious, bright and cosy. The kitchen wraps around in bar style with all the amenities necessary to cook a quick bite. The bedroom contains a cosy double bed for two, while the living room sofa can be transformed into a queen sized bed. You will have no problem washing off in my spacious western-style bathroom, with sliding glass door shower, and brightened by natural light from the urban park behind my home. All amenities such as bed linens, blankets, towels, soap, and shampoo are included.
After your stay you will easily see why SoHo is undeniably Hong Kong’s most charming, colourful, cosmopolitan and pulsating neighbourhood.
And beyond that, the location is convenient! Just a few minutes’ walk to the Central MTR or Sheung Wan MTR and just a one minute walk to the world’s longest escalator. It is also within 10 minutes walking distance to Central, IFC, the HK Airport Express and the Ferry Piers to the Outlying Islands, as well as the Shun Tak Centre with Ferry Services to Macau.
Everything in the apartment, from the high-speed WiFi to the cable TV with HBO, Chromecast and Xbox 360, to the washing machine, and the picturesque rooftop.
Interaction with Guests
I will give you any tips or advice you need on where to go, eat or what to do in this fabulous city. A locals help goes a long way, and I'd be happy to oblige with any suggestions I can offer. I travel a lot, and can also give you great tips for your next destination!
A vibrant and dynamic neighbourhood, SoHo is a great place to enjoy the delicacies of Hong Kong food and fusion dishes. Various restaurants and cuisines abound, making a stroll through SoHo a tempting culinary endeavour.
If the nightlife scene is what your after, the flat is less than a 10 minute walk from Lan Kwai Fong and Wellington Street, especially handy for avoiding the taxi que after a late night out.
Buses on Caine Road can take you throughout the island, and my flat is within 10 minutes walking distance to the transportation hub of Hong Kong Island.
Other Things to Note
Enjoy your stay!
Smoking is allowed on the roof, but not within the apartment.
Trash is taken in small bags down to the trash bins on the street level, the closest bins being exit the flat, turn left and walk a block and a half.
For the shower, the hot water switch is next to the light switches for the bathroom, push it down 10 minutes before a shower, and please switch off after your shower.
Air-con switches are above couch, and in bedroom upon entrance on the left. Please switch off the Air-con switch when you leave the apartment. Air-con controls are on the unit itself.
If you use the cushions on the roof sofa, please after use return them to the hallway corridor, it rains often here in HK.
It's been a delight to communicate with Seth: he responds immediately, explains everything, and ensures that you've got everything you need for your stay.
His apartment is in the middle of Soho, and you can basically reach everything by walking: restaurants, bars, MTRs and the escalator are all a few mins away.
The apartment is on the fourth floor, and there is no lift in the building.
The apartment is "HK sized", but convenient. It is clean, and provided everything we needed for the weekend.
Would definitely recommend the apartment if you want to enjoy HK!
Thanks for the stay Seth! most welcoming and organised!!
great apt with every thing necessary, situated in a great location (the travellator is a bonus) with the perfect rooftop to sit and watch the sun set and the night unfold.
Greta experience all around. Seth was responsive, friendly, and comprehensive in his guidance and recommendations. Excellent apartment.
Seth was kind and friendly. Everything was well-prepared before our stay. The apartment is not too big but it's clean and tidy. The kitchen is good enough to have an easy cooking. We did enjoy our stay here. Thanks Seth!
Seth was very friendly and helpful with allowing extended check-in/check-out times. His communication was great and was very quick to respond even though he was out of town.
This apartment is in an excellent SOHO location and although small, has all the features that you need for a good stay in HK. The rooftop hangout is super-cool and can be made very comfortable with a bit of cleaning and sweeping-up.
The stay could be improved by a bit of attention to detail by the host. The bed sheets appeared to be unwashed and the towels provided were washed but mouldy. A general tidy-up before guests arrive in the apartment and on the roof would go a long way.
Seth was very friendly and helpful. He gave us good instructions on how to find the flat and everything worked fine. The flat was great-clean and cosy. We loved our stay at Seth's.
Seth was a great host. His apartment was perfect for the two of us to spend the weekend in HK. The apartment is only a couple minutes walk from the escalators and there are tons of great restaurants and bars in the area. The apartment was clean and well maintained; Seth was extremely responsive when we contacted him. We'll definitely look to book here again for our next stay in Hong Kong.

I have long been into hospitality networks, having first hosted guests in my university days, and subsequently been a guest on journeys throughout Asia, Europe and South America. I believe there is nothing better than visiting a place and experiencing it through the eyes of a local. Having lived in Hong Kong for a while now, but still quite the traveller, this AirBnB thing has become quite handy for me. Whenever I get the chance I can be found experiencing life in places from China to Australia, and yet I am always planning that next adventure!
