Interaction with Guests
We're always happy to have a cup of tea and a chat :)
I had a great stay here. When I arrived I was welcomed with a big smile and a fresh cup of tea. When I wanted to walk of to the City they handed me a little guide book of the city with maps and showed me the fastest way.
One evening they invited me to go out with them and they showed a pub I would never have found on my own.
I enjoyed my stay very much.
Lefre and her husband are excellent hosts! Communication before we arrived was great, and they were very generous with their cups of tea and conversation. They've also got lots of info on Cork and surrounds including lots of great restaurants.
The double room is very comfortable. It's lovely and warm (as is the whole house) and ver quiet, and the shared bathroom is spacious and the shower excellent. We walked into town from and it's an easy 15 minute walk.
Had a great weekend. Hosts welcoming and house very central and convenient to cc.
My first airbnb experience. Lefre and Eamon are great hosts, laidback, friendly and welcoming. The room is as it appears, cozy and comfortable (firm bed perfect for me). There's a downstairs toilet/sink too. I would flag up one aspect about this particular room: it's directly adjecent to the kitchen, so if you're a light sleeper like me, you may be disturbed by some temporary coming-and-goings in the early hours of a working weekday. Equally though, this won't bother most people.
I know Cork very well and the location here is very good. A quiet area, about 15 minutes walk right into the city centre (and a beautiful walk down Friars walk, especially on a clear night, not something mentioned in most tourist books).

About the Host, Lefre
I live with my husband and our dog (a rough collie, who looks like Lassie) in a house one mile from the main street in Cork City Centre. We're easy going and friendly, outgoing people. I'm a lawyer and my husband is a statistician. We love travel and have done a huge amount of it together, in all kinds of off-beat destinations. We're big fans of alternative comedy (George Carlin, Stewart Lee, Billy Connolly, Bill Maher). We love good food (Cork is great for this - it's a real gourmet capital with lots of artisan producers), like going for a drink, hanging out with friends and playing cards. I love music and have recently bought myself a guitar - I played music years ago, as a kid. I'm taking some lessons and it's my ambition for this year to learn how to play it properly:)
