Ideally located in the heart of the medina, in a quiet street, but also only a few steps from the most lively street to fully experience your stay at the rhythm of its inhabitants, Riad Laylati welcomes travellers of all origins, solo, as a couple, as a family with children or in groups.

The space
An authentic peaceful and relaxing Moroccan residence, Riad Laylati has been completely renovated and decorated in a sober and harmonious style highlighting the know-how of many craftsmen who have used noble and traditional materials. Around the patio are organized, on the ground floor, a dining room, a Moroccan lounge to relax and a fireplace to meet, 5 bedrooms on 3 levels and a double terrace with pergola and breathtaking views of the old city.

The Idalika room, spacious and romantic, is located on the 2nd floor. It has a large canopy bed (160/200) and a double bed (140/200) on the mezzanine floor, a lounge area, a wardrobe and a private bathroom, with independent toilets, in tadelakt in precious black and silver colours in harmony with zelliges de Fez. A window overlooks the central courtyard of the skylight. Surface area 26 m2.

Guest access
Travellers have access to the entire ground floor, the Moroccan lounge, the fireplace area, the dining room as well as the double terrace with a pleasant pergola, tables, chairs and deckchairs at their disposal. Travellers do not have access to the kitchen.

Longtemps expatrié dans le monde oriental de par mon métier, à courir le monde en long et en large, j’ai, au hasard des chemins, jeté l’ancre à Essaouira et y suis resté. C’est en 2005 que j’ai entrepris de rénover cette demeure familiale qui pierre par pierre aura été façonnée, bichonnée, remodelée avec des matériaux traditionnels nobles et multiples mains d’artisans, comme d’autant les miennes, pour en réaliser un havre de paix où l’on ne demande que d’arrêter le temps. Souvent en voyage, j’aime retrouver cet endroit paisible et le partager avec ma famille, mes amis et voyageurs de passage du monde entier. Au plaisir !
