  • Isabelle's place is fantastic, just what we needed!
10mins from the beach and easy enough to walk to the Old Port. Isabelle & Claude were incredibly helpful.

Would highly recommend a relaxing stay here!

  • Staying in Isabelle's garden room was really great. It is very private and relaxing and the garden is beautiful. The beach is a 10-15 min walk from the house and exploring the neighbourhood is fun. Isabelle was very helpful and suggested restaurants and places to go. Definitely would recommend this place.

  • Isabelle's place was really beautiful and quiet. Room is independent, comfortable and in front of her garden. We got two more guests: turtles basking in the sunny day.
She was nice and helpful giving us all the relevant maps and advices, and she gave us the possibility to use the kitchen. Also you can eat your meal outside in the balcony or in the garden.
It's located in a hilly part of the city, near the sea, and it'is not far away from the old-port, the city center, you can reach it with the public bike rent, one of the easiest, cheapest, and quick services we've ever known. These bikes can give you a different and greater experience of the city.
If you don't like biking, then the bus stop was there, just 100m away.
Coming by car, be sure to check the right arrondissement, the french addressing takes into account this information too, that other countries ignore. Also consider that Marseille's streets are really narrow, and parking can be challenging but not impossible.

  • Alles bestens.

  • Ahhhhhhh. What a perfect travelers abode Isabelle has.

With only two and a half days to spend in Marseille and not knowing much about the place, Isabelle and Claude were very kind, welcoming and informative toward me in the there humble home. Reviews before have said what I do not want to repeat.

A Lovely place. Perfect in fact.

  • Isabelle and her home are both very nice. The bed is comfortable, the hot water in the shower is lasting and the garden is really nice to wake up to. The internet signal is a little weak in most of the space, but it does work well enough in a particular position on the couch.

The house is in the middle of a residential neighborhood that is VERY hilly and a challenge to navigate. Grab a map and make it an adventure - Isabelle loaned us one and the twisty, uphill climb is part of the fun! The cab ride is 17 euro from Gare St Charles, but there is also a bus nearby that is super easy and runs every 15 minutes.

We sincerely wish our French was better so we could hang out and get to know Isabelle - the books and photos everywhere were amazing, and we imagine conversation would be just as engaging if we were better equipped to have it.

  • Incredibly lovely place to stay! I loved the terrace in front of the room, the silence of Marseille in one of the most popular place to live in Marseille. Next to the sea and its "corniche". I was felt peace was materizing the place. Thank you Isabelle.
