Quaint 3 bedroom farm house with fabulous views, comfortable spaces, with 3 porches: front (sunset), back(sunrise-coffee), and sunset #2 swing porch. Yard games and huge fire-pit. Solar/EV charging station. Walk the dead-end street. Swim (sand beach), fish or rent kayaks at Lake Carnico. Golf 9 holes. Hunt at Clay Wildlife Management Area. Visit Wendts Wildlife Adventure or Daniel Boones last KY cabin. 7 minutes to Blue Licks Resort State Park. 40 minutes to Lexington.

The space
Great space to unplug. Excellent for family get aways, family reunions, wedding parties, or for getting away with friends. Sunsets are awesome and different every night. Stargaze or tell stories at the fire-pit eating s’more’s. Enjoy fireflies at night. Listen to the crickets and tree frogs. You can sit on the porch and watch a storm come in. Kids can play Wii video games or watch TV (kid DVDs) upstairs while parents enjoy their own movies in the Living Room. Plenty of toys, board games or puzzles for a rainy day.

Daniel Boones last standing cabin is here near “Forest Retreat” the old governor’s mansion and Wendt’s Wildlife Adventure (Safari and exotic animal interactive displays). Just 30 minutes to Maysville, Flemingsburg, Paris, Cynthiana, or Mount Sterling. Enjoy the ATV activities in Bath county.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is located on a winding dead-end country road with just (6) houses on it. You have my 1.1 acre lot and the asphalt public road to explore. Please don’t wander/explore beyond that. Its all private property. Great hiking at nearby Blue Licks Battlefield Resort State Park. Carlisle (the little town with a big heart) is just 15 minutes away with a grocery store, 2 drug stores, 2 liquor stores and 6 family owned restaurants or, take the short drive to Paris, Cynthiana, Flemingsburg, Mt Sterling or Maysville for exploring shops, galleries, bars (including a Bourbon bar) and restaurants. Lexington 45 minutes - an hour. Cincinnati and hour 30 minutes away.

I enjoy my adopted community of Carlisle (moved from Detroit, in 2013), I worked 3 years as Economic Development Director to help this county of 7K promote itself. I love the old farm house I restored, and the peace and quiet of the 1.1 acres overlooking the rolling farm hills and trees. Friends and family relax and recharge here sleeping great and enjoying the outdoors and bonfires.
