  • Our family had such a wonderful stay at Birgit's home! Not only was it clean and well-equipped, but it was also absolutely beautifully-decorated, cozy, and super comfortable.

We were greeted with a bottle of wine (juice for the kids) and flowers, along with detailed instructions for everything we might need to know about the home and neighborhood. We cooked almost all our meals while we were in town at the house, and enjoyed many of them on the lovely back deck. Also, we had some of the best nights of sleep we've had in years in the serene and comfortable master bedroom, and our 5- and 2-year-old both had a blast with all of Birgit's daughter's toys and books, and slept great in their twin beds in the her lovely bedroom.

Birgit was wonderful throughout the entire process, and it was a complete pleasure working with her. She was always proactive in letting me know information before I needed it, and very quick to respond when I had questions, despite the fact that we were in different time zones. When our family makes a return visit to San Francisco, we will absolutely check to see if Birgit's home is available before checking anywhere else! This was an over-the-top fantastic place to stay - we didn't want to leave. Thanks so much, Birgit (and family), for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  • This is a wonderful gem tucked away in the nice neighborhood of Noe Valley. Being a San Franciscan resident, I needed a place big enough to accommodate family from out-of-town and myself during the Thanksgiving weekend. We checked in on Thanksgiving day so we had a couple of dishes we needed to prepare to take over to a friends'. The pantry had a le Crueset pot which was perfect for my Parsnip Soup and the kitchen had all the tools a cook would need (including a tasty bottle of sparkling wine, and beer compliments of Birgit!). We hope to stay in this beautiful home again.

  • Birgit's home was a wonderful getaway in such a beautiful neighborhood in San Fran. Loved the charming restaurants, walks to mission and local shops surrounding her home. My partner and I greatly enjoyed the bright and comfortable mid-century decor.. The artistic touches throughout the home and natureful backyard made us feel right at home. The home is clean and full of warmth! Parking was very easy and commuting from the neighborhood was a breeze. Birgit is a gracious host very thoughtful, communicative and attentative! We look forward to staying here again, thanks so much!

  • We have just arrived back from our stay at Birgit´s absolutely stunning home. The house is well spaced, fully equipped, clean and tidy and moreover really beautifully furnished and decorated. We had great weather and enjoyed breakfast out at the deck - what a start into the day! But also coming home and relaxing in the little reading nock in the sunroom was a pleasure. The whole house is really cosy and comfortable to live in.

The location was also great. We could park directly in front of the house and used the J-line for most of our excursions. That was easy and convenient. Also the area around is very cute.
We can say that the house really exceeded our expectations. It is actually exactly the place you would dream to live in when you live in San Francisco.

  • Our stay at Birgit's house was perfect. The house was very beautiful, clean and comfortable. The area is residental, quiet and pretty, and very representative of the San Francisco you want to see as a tourist. Birgit had prepared everything we needed for our stay and then some. In addition to bedding, towels, closet space for our stuff and so on, we were treated to local beer, food for breakfast, coffee, maps and lots of information about the city.

Communicating and arranging the stay in advance and upon leaving was also perfectly simple.

Like Birgit, this was my first airbnb experience. If this experience is representative, I have a hard time picturing myself going back to hotels.
