Hi fellow Traveller,
( For more reviews check my other listings)
I love Airbnb myself and had such amazing experiences that now I would like to give back some of the loving! Im looking forward to host people who share the same Airbnb spirit of community and sharing.
The rooms you’ll be staying in are beautiful and bright with lots of privacy and will accommodate all your needs while you're on the road.
There are three Rooms in this typical Plateaux Apartment with wooden floor, tiny balcony and direct access to the Backyard.
2 of the rooms have a queen size beds and are getting a lot of sunlight.
The Bathroom comes fully equipped with Hair dryer, fresh towels and usually some soap and shampoo.
My Kitchen replaces the Living Room, meaning it is here where all the social life ususally takes place.
In the Kitchen you will find a Nespresso machine and a milk frother for your Coffees in the morning!
You’ll have space in the fridge and the kitchen is free to your use. (just don't forget to wash up ;) )
Be assured that in the apartment you will find all basic appliances like wifi, washer and dryer.
If you want to stay here with more than 4 people, or need a third Room I have a small spare room to help you out.
I invested some money in a quality inflatable mattress which actually feels very close to a real bed (tested it)! This separate room is nice and bright but doesn't fit in much more than the mattress itself. However it will suit you perfectly if you are here in a group and want to make sure that everybody has a comfy place to rest!
Interaction with Guests
If I am in town it usually means that I am staying at my Girlfriend's place down the street so I would usually be available for any questions and make sure that I drop by once in a while (not without letting you know before of course)
I have a pretty busy life, professionally and private, however it is important to me to make myself available for my guests and I will always be very happy to advise you on how to hit the city according to your preferences ( also check out my guidebook on the bottom of the page).
You also wouldn't be the first of my guests to be sharing laughs and good stories about travels, music and whatnot over a refreshing drink. ;)
As for the area, you'll be spoiled as you'll find everything in walking distance, like:
- for the morning's best bloody bakery ever "Kouign-Amann", a french bretonne style bakery with croissants and chocolatines to die for plus loads of other delicious pastries (1 min)
- The toughest competition of coffee shops in whole Montreal among them "Khawa Cafe" with great coffee and amazing Couscous for lunch, "Le Couteau" where coffee is art or the super friendly window in the Wall "la distributrice"
- for healthy lunches and Lunch packs for the road there is nothing better than "trip de bouffe"
-for the whole dose of Montreal we have "La Banquise" and "Schwart'z" each 10 min by foot from our house
-the beautiful Mont Royal Park with its iconic hill and great view over the whole city just 10 min from our doorstep if you want to feel out of town while you're actually right in the middle of it
-"JR Cyclery" is renting quality bikes for unbeatable 15 $ for 4 hours or 24 $ for 24 hours, Otherwise you have Bixie Bike Stations all over
- 10$ 24h parking lot 3 min walk away
-I won't even get started on the bars and pubs with live music, portuguese eateries and the whole bunch of other restaurants since this is what the neighborhood is known for!
Make sure to check out my Guidebook for all my favourite places ( the Map when you scroll down)
Im on "Avenue Mont Royal" and "St Dennis Street" 3 min off "Mont-Royal" Metro Station letting my area score 93 out of 100 points which makes my place a "Walkers Paradise" (check their site)
So basicly you can do everything on foot from here and if ever you need it, the Metro is just 3 min down the street to jump on and there are a array of Bus stops to get you anywhere you desire in the quickest way.
Other Things to Note
Last but not least about me... I am a German Chef and I love my profession because it lets me combine my passion for food with my passion for travel and meeting new people. I love to discover new country's and like to let my mind be broadened by new people, new cultures and new food!
As already mentioned I really believe in the Values of Airbnb and the sharing economy. For this reason it is very important to me that people don't take my place simply as a cheap replacement for a hotel. People who stay with me are usually having a great time, not only cause the room is nicely decorated or the place is so central but because they find a personal note that they wouldn't find in a hotel. However this only works if people are open minded and don't take things for granted.
For this Reason I will simply refuse any requests which carry no personal message or people who think they are dealing with representative of Accor Hotels. ;)
I can't wait to meet you and to share some stories and laughs!
See you soon
-There aren't many rules you have to follow in our place, follow your common sense, act not much different as if you would stay with a friend...
-Be clean, be respectful!
-Wash your dishes please!
- Check with me beforehand regarding pets
-We are not a Hotel but people who seek good company from all over the world! Keep that in mind ;)
Colin's place was perfect for my family who was visiting Montreal for my wedding. The place was very clean and the rooms are as the photos shown. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you will need. There is a cute terrasse off the kitchen and another one from the extra room. I met as Colin briefly as he was leaving for his trip and he was very kind, and hospitable. I would really recommend this place for both, the entire apartment or just room rental. Also the location is really central plateau. thanks Colin! My family was very pleased with the apartment.
The apartment was great! We really enjoyed the space, plenty of room for three couples. The kitchen is spacious and they have a nice back patio to stand while having your morning coffee. Location is ideal and we were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. Would definitely recommend!
