The space was great: clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Grant was amazingly communicative and helpful pre-arrival.
I also must applaud the on-site support. We were lucky enough to have it snow a couple days ahead of our arrival. When I called to request a snow shovel, the property manager brought two men to shovel the driveway for us – which was a huge help. He also assisted getting the pipes unfrozen – which could’ve been a catastrophe.
My only complaint is that there were not as many beds as described/pictured. The space was said to have 6 beds. The rooms are described as follows:
“Master bedroom has a pillow top king size bed with a flat screen TV.”
“Guest room 1 downstairs has a bunk bed with a queen bed on the bottom and full bed on top.”
“Guest room 2 has a bunk with with [sic] full size beds on bottom and top and a separate twin bed.”
However, Guest room 2 only has one bed. Our group was flexible and could deal with only 4 beds, but the sleeping arrangements didn’t go quite how we had planned. Due to the other great help, I believe that this is likely just an oversight in updating the Airbnb profile.
Overall, I would recommend this space as a weekend getaway to enjoy friends and family with food and games in a scenic locale.
Hi Chris -
Glad your group enjoyed your stay and thanks for the feedback. We did change the bedding configuration on one of the upstairs bedrooms and didn't realize we hadn't updated the description on AirBnB. Thanks for letting us know! We would welcome your group to come back and stay with us again in any of our properties. Happy New Year!
A group of 10 of us stayed at Whispering Pines Cabin in late December and we had a great time. We wanted a quick weekend get away from LA in a scenic area to cook, play games, cards, hang out together after the holidays and maybe see some snow. The cabin was very well furnished and comfortable. Spacious kitchen and a nice outdoor eating area too with a large grill which we cooked steaks on one night. Having 1 bathroom amongst 10 guests became a little touch and go at times but we all survived. We also drove a few miles to Lake Gregory one evening and had a nice walk around the lake near sunset. It was peaceful and serene. Everyone enjoyed it.
