About This Listing
'This apartment beats anything you will find in Aberdeen. The lounge/dining area is adorned with original art, different seating areas, a superb kitchen, high quality Scandinavian furniture, antiques and random pieces I have acquired over the years. It has an 11 metre long heated enclosed balcony with lots of greenery. The apartment has very large double bedrooms with French style beds, en suite private bathroom, en suite shared walk in shower room and plenty generous spaces. The GUEST BEDROOM that is available is the largest and the most comfortable and has the large en suite bathroom. I USE the other bedroom that has the shower room attached but you are free to use the shower room whenever you like.
The apartment is in the city centre/harbour area and you are only 3 -4 minutes walk to Union Street, where buses and taxis will take you wherever you want. There is also a private parking space so please feel free to use it.
My restaurant Café 52 is also 3 -4 minutes away and AIRBNB guests can enjoy 20% of their entire bill if you decide to dine there.
The apartment has full high speed internet access.
If you require breakfast I will ensure there is fresh croissants, fresh fruit, quality coffee and tea and of course fresh juices.
The guest room, private bathroom, shower room, massive lounge, kitchen, balcony. (All of it)
Interaction with Guests
Its next to a working harbour with huge ships and a mere 3-4 walk to the centre of town.
3-4 minutes walk
I have the utmost respect for people’s privacy and I will not bother you at all. As I have mentioned in the apartment’s description the shower room is off my bedroom, so all you have to do is tell me when you need to take a shower so I know to steer clear. I will be in the apartment sporadically (depending when I’m needed in the restaurant) so please make yourself at home. It’s a great space and I want people to enjoy it. I don’t normally have guests round so you’ll know it’s very peaceful, reflective, relaxing and super comfortable!
I fell in love with this place the minute I walked in. Pictures do not do it justice. I met Steve at Cafe 52 and he gave me the keys and drew a map. I have stayed in Aberdeen before at a hotel, but never again. The accommodations were better than described. There was plenty of food for breakfast, the room and the bed were very comfortable, and sunlights made the light natural. I was luck to get to talk to Steve one night and he is smart, funny and has a knowledge of the area that was both fascinating and enlightening. His art is a great complement to the flat. I needed to add a day on to my stay at the beginning and e-mailed Steve and he got right back to me. I would recommend this place to anyone who is in Aberdeen. I have two students at the University and it was an easy walk to meet them. This was my first experience with airbnb and am sold. Thank you for everything!
I've spent one night at Steve's apartment. Arrived much earlier than agreed, but Steve gave me freedom to come and relax in his cozy flat. Location is great, apartment is stylish and comfortable. Steve was out of the flat, but he arranged everything perfectly, so I felt myself as I was staying at a good friend's house.
As a frequent visitor to Aberdeen, I have stayed at Steve's apartment a few times and have never been disappointed.
A fantastic apartment in easy walking distance of the main areas of the City and a great host.
First of thanks a million Steve for a super week at yours.
It was absolute heaven:-) It was like I was like being at home. It was even better than I expected.
It was fantastic meeting Steve and hanging out with him, sharing our adventures and stories. Talking and laughing with Steve made me realise how special Scotland and my Scottish adventures are for me:-))))
Meeting Steve was the key factor to my stay in his warm home. To find out who that man is behind that interior of his flat you simply had to meet him:-) What a great character and so is the interior.
I enjoyed hours on end in his "Cafe 52". It was a trip down memory lane and it felt welcoming and warm, topped with yummy deserts made by Steve's mummy.
Steve thanks again for letting me into your castle, I truly felt like a king.
I wish you all the best and I am sure our paths will cross again.
Staying at Steve's was a sublimely relaxing experience. His apartment is comfortable and stylish and includes beautiful artwork and a fine selection of books. The bedroom and en suite bathroom was, like the rest of the place, perfect. Only got to say a quick hello to Steve unfortunately as he was out most of the time but he made sure we were comfortable making ourself at home. All in all a grand experience and hopefully get to hang out with Steve a bit more next time.
My mother and I had an exquisite time at this lovely artist loft situated within walking distance from the train station and the city centre. Steve, the owner, warmly welcomed us into his space and we couldn't be happier. The apartment was cozy and comforting. The bedroom, the bathroom, everything was put together with class and style.
Steve's restaurant (Cafe 52) was also charming and the food was excellent. I took my uncle there to celebrate his 72nd birthday and it surely was a memorable one!
Excellent first experience. Steve was an attentive and gracious host. The apartment was roomy and comfortable and he encourages you to be at home and use whatever is there. City Centre is a close walk and Steve is always happy to suggest places to visit and eat. He also owns a restaurant close by and the food and staff there are aces. I would definitely stay with him again if I visit Aberdeen
