  • A great find! Clean and comfortable and felt very homely. Lovely to have welcome pack in the fridge and the location was great- 5 minute walk away from the centre.

  • A great place to stay in Bergen. It was on a nice quiet street within a 5 minute walk of the Fish Market. Jon arranged so that his mom could pick us up from the train station, since he was out of town, and take us to the apartment. Nice and cozy, with cable tv and wireless internet, we cooked meals a couple nights and had no problems finding a grocery store close by and an excellent coffee shop as well. We actually walked back to the train station after realizing how easy it was to navigate to.

  • Great apartment, comfortable and stylish and also perfect location. Lots of thoughtful touches - plenty of food basics in fridge, info on Bergen and car parking arranged too. A million times better than an hotel! Thank you Jon & Estelle :-)

  • Wow, the truth is, Jon is an excellent host I've ever met. We stay at his house for two nights in October 9-10, 2013, and it was a great experience. He was very kind to wait for us at the Airport Bus Stop and even helped my husband carry two heavy luggages. We had 8 people all together and many many bags. There was a road construction at the time we went there so we needed to walk the way round longer than should be. But actually his house locates in a very good area. It is very easy to walk to city center. It only was a surprise that we had to go up to 3rd or 2nd floor I didn't know, but the stairs isn't hard to climb up at all (only we had too big luggages) If you travel light with few easy going backpacks, this is the very nice place to stay and tour Bergen.) It is very easy to walk to city center. His bedrooms, kitchen and living room is large more than enough for 4 of us to stay comfortably. (We rent 2 houses) Jon prepared nice breakfast for us. We even enjoyed using his kitchen one night to prepared Thai food and sitting down, having dinner together and talk all night. Hot shower, kitchen and heater was working well. I had to ask for Jon's help for many times, and he is very quick to response. We are thankful to have him as a host. It makes our time in Bergen wonderful. He prepared important information for us what to do in Bergen, where to eat, how to go etc. it was very useful. His house was clean and charming as Bergen. He helped us call the taxi to Bus stop in 5:00 am. Wow, he is a wonderful host.

  • Bergen experience would not be complete without Estelle and Jon's place! Such a warm and loving place, with beautiful rooms and perfect location. They left a typical norwegian breakfest for us, and plenty of organic teas and coffe! There was a home-made brochure waiting for us too, with their very own tips for what to see, where to eat and where to not eat!
Special note: We also think Jon is also our Bergen angel he waited for me and my friends until (website hidden). as we were so late arriving after drive on crazy Norwegian roads! Thank you very much for this stay and I recommend all good people to visit this amazing flat.
