Joanna's place was beautiful and quiet and conveniently located to Stanford. It was wonderful to be so close to the Dish, which is a great place to walk and run.

A delightful stay in a rare and unspoilt place - accessible and convenient for the Stanford campus yet surrounded by garden and woodland and with more noise from the creek than the traffic - so restful. Johanna was perfectly welcoming and helpful, and the guest room was large and comfortable, just what we'd hoped for and suited us very well.

I stayed at Johanna's place for a meeting at SLAC. I didn't have a car so I got around mostly with Lyft. Johanna is great, and her place was beautiful, comfortable and perfect for my needs. I highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit SLAC.

I stayed here during a business trip to Menlo Park. The property has beautiful views and is very quiet. Johanna was a helpful host.

Johanna is a lovely and gracious hostess. I can tell she truly enjoys meeting new people. The guest room was a quiet retreat from a busy schedule for my self and my husband. We were in town for his residency interviews at the nearby university and it was nice to come back to such an idyllic setting to wind down and relax during quiet evenings. In the mornings, I could sip my coffee at the patio table and listen to the gurgling creek under the shade of a giant oak and sycamore tree. The garden exudes a sense of serenity with bamboo, potted cymbidians, and vibrant geraniums all swaying with the gentle breeze. I would definitely return if given an opportunity to visit the Stanford area in the future. I am so thankful that we found such a lovely gem with regard to the room and the hostess.

Johanna made us feel quite welcome. The guest room looked just like the photo, and the setting was great (next to the Stanford campus but very woodsy and calm feeling)

I'm an Army brat, so my family moved a lot. By the time I left NYC for California, I was ready to stay put. I've lived here in my sweet, secluded cottage since 1986, and it is heaven! Now that I'm semi retired from a fulfilling career as a dancer, writer, teacher and counselor in private practice, I've turned my office into a lovely guest room.

I'd have to say it feels like the days of yester-year around here. Built long before the computer was imaginable, this shabby chic, circa 1925 cottage still has lots of ground around it - a pond in the back yard with steelhead trout, lots of birds, and all kinds of wild critters. If you didn't know Stanford University was right across the creek, you might think you were in the Santa Cruz mountains. Somehow the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley hasn't effected us much. We get to be close and yet feel far away from it all. Home is definitely where the heart is, and I look forward to meeting you.
