Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Cynthia was a wonderful guest. The fresh oranges from a tree in the yard were a big bonus for breakfast. There is also a huge avocado tree that provides ample shade on a warm summer day. The bed in the guest house is very comfortable. Quiet and safe neighbourhood too.

  • The accommodations were exactly as Cynthia presented. Clean, neat, super-fast internet and a hot, delicious shower. While I was given full access to coffee and breakfast, my schedule kept me away. I was in the area to cover baseball games at Dodger Stadium and Cynthia's house was a perfect location, about 20 minutes from the ball park. Cynthia's house can be best described as Wonderfully Eclectic, and replete with with music, literature, art and antiques. Too bad we did not get a chance to meet because I think our conversations would have been truly amazing. Perhaps, next time.

  • Cynthia was an amazing host, with an amazing guest house in Eagle Rock. The house is very clean and quiet, allowing for a very comfortable sleep. I was surprised by the great coffee and generous breakfast, and there's even a nice orange tree in the backyard with ripe oranges just waiting to be picked (which I did one morning for breakfast). This was my first time to ever use airbnb, and I was impressed beyond all expectations. Cynthia was always prompt with all communications, she kindly showed me everything I needed to know for a comfortable stay, and she was always available, either in person or via email/text, to answer any questions I had. I would not hesitate to recommend her guest house for your stay in LA, and I would definitely stay there again. Thanks for everything, Cynthia!

  • My wife and I both slept really well here because the room is very quiet and the bed is comfortable. The garden next to the room is nice with many fruit trees. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet with lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. - We didn't have any problems with parking. I think it is 5 minutes to Glendale and maybe 10 to old town Pasadena. Cynthia was very welcoming and friendly. She gave us very detailed and helpful instructions on checking in when she was not there. We enjoyed our stay and I recommend this place.

  • Cynthia is a friendly and helpful host. She is a prompt communicator and answered all my questions before and after my arrival (What's app is a great tool!). She gave me advise and tips about where to go for music and invited me to one of her concerts, which I unfortunately missed by few minutes.
Her main house is tastefully decorated, which is not a surprise, since she is a great artist :-)
The guest room is in the garden. It is a bit simple and basic but clean and has a sink and a coffee machine.
The house is located in a quite and safe street. Parking is a breeze.
I was on a business trip and had to leave very early in the morning and come back very late. I felt a bit embraced about the times (taking shower at 5 am in the morning, etc.) but Cynthia was the best host ever. I had all the privacy I could wish for and felt at home.

  • Cynthia's place is in a lovely quiet street, near the freeway and a few mins from shops/restaurants etc. The guest room and house are v clean and welcoming. The bed is comfortable- with good pillows! Cynthia made me feel 'at home' at once and I enjoyed chatting over tea with her.

  • I stayed with Cynthia for a week while exploring Eagle Rock as a potential relocation destination.

Her spot is perfect for checking out the main strip along Colorado (Four Cafe, Oinkster's Pete's Blue Chip, Trader Joe's, etc). Didn't get a chance to go to Little Beast right down the street but will be back to try it for sure.

Cynthia was accommodating and easy to get along with even though she was slammed out with an intensive conference while I was there. Recommend!

  • Lovely place! I stayed here for a week and it was the ideal sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I spent time sunbathing on the grass in the backyard, which was beautiful, and the privacy and quiet allowed me to sleep soundly. Cynthia was a wonderful host and prompt communicator. She was friendly but also gave me plenty of space. I would stay here again.

  • Cynthia's room was exactly as she described it. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. I was there for 3 days and never once has any problems with the accommodations. Her main house was very clean and comfortable. My only regret was I never got to meet Cynthia since our schedules did not sync up. I would not hesitate to stay there anytime I'm in the area.
