Interaction with Guests
Stephanie (the owner) is a registered nurse and ex-professional performer who continues to teach for fun.
My guest interaction is dependent on my schedules and availability. I am very friendly and love to interact with our guests. However, because I am a nurse I often work odd hours and may require quiet time early in the evening if I'm working a day shift. Or I may be up until the wee hours of the night!
The neighborhood is quiet with many conveniences nearby. We love how close our neighborhood is to the airport but how easy it is to get downtown. We also love the many neighborhood features including a library, fitness center and pool just a 5 minute walk from our home.
There are casual restaurants and take-out foods at a variety of price points, two grocery stores, Starbucks, liquor stores, pubs, pharmacies and banks all within a few minutes walk.
We fully recommend you borrow our bikes to explore the hundreds of kilometers of bike paths accessible to our home. Nose Creek Park is a hidden jem just a short ride away. Nose Hill Park is also a short walk or ride away with fantastic views of the city.
Public transit is very convenient from our home with several buses to choose from to downtown (#2, #3, #300), to the airport (#300) and to the train station, University and Foothills Hospital (#20).
• Fare: $3.00 (exact change required)
• Purchase ticket books and monthly passes at Mac’s and Safeway-- 10 per pack
•We can sell you bus tickets for the same price-- we buy them from the store and you can buy them from us one at a time!

Be kind, clean, courteous, and have a good sense of humor. Please turn all lights off when finished in a room.
Please close the front door behind you as we have birds and they are very sensitive to the cold. Plus we don't want them to fly out the door!
Please clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom! Be very careful to close the shower curtain all the way at the back to avoid water leaking into the kitchen.
Stephanie is a nurse and often works an unusual schedule. Please be respectful of quiet times if she is sleeping.
Stephanie's room was just what we were looking for! Convenient to the airport, clean, and comfortable. The vibe of the apartment was very welcoming. We only needed to stay one night, but I would have been happy to stay longer and get to know our host(s).
Stephanie' s unit is small as was the room and bathroom. So be aware that is what you are paying for. The bed is uncomfortable and small for 2 tall people, so again be aware if you book this room. Host was hospitable and manual helpful. It is close to the airport , which is an advantage.
Stephanie's place is very cozy and with a lot of character. I stayed there for one night. Her instructions were very clear to begin with. Her bed comfortable. I also met her beautiful birds. I had pleasant chats with her during my stay. Safeway grocery store was a 10 minute walk which is convenient. Taking the bus to the airport was a breeze. I recommend her place!
C'est un quartier tranquille et à seulement 15 minutes en autobus du centre ville. facile d'accès car l'arrêt d'autobus est au coin de la rue.
Stephanie was away on vacation during my one night stay. Her new roommate arrived home about the time I was heading to bed . I'd been hoping she'd know how to turn on the heat as it was freezing out and about 16 in, but she knew no more than I did.
The place was also not as clean as during a previous stay either. Still the bed was great, and the bedroom clean, and the location great for access to the airport.

I am very busy with my professional commitments, but I love having a home full of interesting people. In my spare time I are very active in the local Burning Man scene. I love going to local community events. Depending on my schedule I love to invite you out with us or have a night in playing Settlers of Catan. No matter how busy I am, you are always welcome!
