Wray is an IT specialist who works from home and who often fixes guests computers and phones. Adrian (the long term room mate) is doing his PhD in chemistry and is only home to sleep. 420 friendly.
Our guest interaction is dependent on our schedules and availability. We are very friendly and love to interact with our guests. However, sometimes we are very busy and not around much.
The neighborhood is quiet with many conveniences nearby. We love how close our neighborhood is to the airport but how easy it is to get downtown. We also love the many neighborhood features including a library, fitness center and pool just a 5 minute walk from our home.
There are casual restaurants and take-out foods at a variety of price points, two grocery stores, Starbucks, liquor stores, pubs, pharmacies and banks all within a few minutes walk.
We fully recommend you borrow our bikes to explore the hundreds of kilometers of bike paths accessible to our home. Nose Creek Park is a hidden jem just a short ride away. Nose Hill Park is also a short walk or ride away with fantastic views of the city.
Public transit is very convenient from our home with several buses to choose from to downtown (#2, #3, #300), to the airport (#300) and to the train station, University and Foothills Hospital (#20).

Be kind, clean, courteous, and have a good sense of humor. Please turn all lights off when finished in a room.
Please close the front door behind you as we have birds and they are very sensitive to the cold. Plus we don't want them to fly out the door!
Please clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom! Be very careful to close the shower curtain all the way at the back to avoid water leaking into the kitchen.
Stephanie is a nurse and often works an unusual schedule. She often needs to sleep late during the day, so please direct all questions to Wray if Stephanie is sleeping. He is often in his office in the basement. Please knock on the basement door if you need him.
Wray works from home and is often around. He is happy to help with problems but please be respectful of his time if he is working for a client.
Great place to stay and conveniently located close to a grocery store and number of restaurants. Stehpanie was very helpful answering any questions I had. The bed was super comfortable. I would recommend the place to anyone.
This is a nice house, the host is very helpful. Highly recommended option !
Stephanie's place was very good value for the money. Although it's quite far from the centre of town, the bus stop is very close and the route is very convenient. Stephanie was helpful and quick to answer questions as they came up.
Stephanie and Wray were very welcoming and lovely to speak to. The kitchen and bedroom are very nice, with the latter having one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on. The bus route into town is right next to the house - getting downtown couldn't be easier. The shops are also very close, as is a public library just to the North. All in all a lovely stay; I would most certainly return.
Loved staying here. Stephanie was a great host and helped us out on our first week in Canada with plenty of tips. It's only 10 Min's to the airport and buses every 5-10 minutes downtown. Neighbourhood felt very safe and Stephanie recommended some great restaurants nearby and 2 major supermarkets nearby. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Calgary. Will miss her birds too!
Stephanie was a great host and made me feel really comfortable in her home. I had a great sleep on the cozy memory foam mattress :) I would definitely stay there again!
Stephanie is a retired circus artist who still teaches aerial silks and hoop dancing for fun. She is also a registered nurse who works on a cardiac unit at a local hospital. Wray is an IT specialist with a passion for hardware, fixing phones and all kinds of computers. He manages residential and commercial clients. Both are active, love biking, yoga, music festivals and meditation.
Stephanie has traveled all over the world and has lived in several countries. Her home is decorated with photos from her travels. Wray taught himself Japanese and loves practicing his language skills with Japanese speakers.
Both of us are very busy with our professional commitments, but we love having a home full of interesting people. In our spare time we are very active in the local Burning Man scene. We love going to local community events, but we also enjoy staying in and playing a board game. Depending on our schedules we'd love to invite you out with us or have a night in playing Settlers of Catan. No matter how busy we are, you are always welcome!
