  • I was looking for a peaceful place to read, walk and write. Jennifer's home in Vermont was the perfect spot. I immediately felt energized by the beautiful scenery and the quiet calm of the place. Jennifer and her partner were welcoming hosts who made me feel immediately comfortable. I hope to come back again in warm weather to explore the property and the surrounding area!

  • Stefanie and I took a little winter getaway to Jennifer and John's home. Unfortunately, John was away. Jennifer is a wonderful host and great conversationalist. Their home is wonderful. The room is very warm and inviting. The windows in the room allow you to have excellent views of the hills of Vermont. The location is just a short ride outside of Woodstock. which has many shops and restaurants. The chapel is filled with positive energy and made for an enjoyable morning of reflection. We both highly recommend anyone wanting to get away and enjoy the peace and quiet, to stay at Jennifer and John's. Thank you for the wonderful stay and hopefully we get to meet John the next time!!

  • Beautiful, peaceful location. Fantastic hosts, helped make our stay wonderful in every way and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. My wife and I would love to stay again if we are ever in the area.

  • We wanted a quick winter getaway to Vermont and Jennifer and John's place was perfect. The room is homey and comfortable and the view out the many windows is amazing. The land is gorgeous classic rural Vermont and we wished we had had more time to explore the trails. Jennifer and John were excellent hosts with great ideas of where to go and what to do. We loved the welcome basket and the many small touches of luxury and convenience.
A top notch Air BnB experience!

  • This was the first time visiting Vermont and we had heard wonderful things about Woodstock and it's charming allure. Jennifer and John's home was perfectly situated for us and we enjoyed the perfect view outside our bedroom. They were gracious hosts and we enjoyed hearing them share stories about the local area. The home itself was comfortable and pleasant... only surpassed by their matching personalities.

The neighboring town of Quechee was a pleasant surprise as we stopped to visit various antique shops and The Simon Pearce Restaurant experience. We hope to return in the fall and look forward to connecting again in the near future!

  • Jennifer and John were excellent hosts! We arrived in Pomfret with no idea of what was around or what there was to do, and we really appreciated their advice on restaurants, shops, and interesting sites to see while we were in town.
We also really enjoyed exploring their beautifully landscaped property and losing ourselves in their woods.
The room itself was ample, clean, and had tons of light (can be blocked with shades if needed), and has almost everything to meet your immediate needs, so you can control the level of interaction you have with your hosts. We found them really interesting, so we spent a good deal of time speaking with them and learning about the town and their family.
I would definitely recommend this as a place to get away from the city and enjoy nature.

  • Jennifer and John were the most gracious hosts I could have imagined! Their home is sweet and cozy and so was their hospitality. I felt at home immediately. I was busy leaving early and coming home late each morning and night, but the door was always open and I had everything I needed. The room was spacious with enough room for yoga and spreading out (and a wee fridge for my yogurt and such). The bathroom is enormous and private and the sunrise view is spectacular. The fresh blueberry pancake send-off complete with some sweet time to visit with Jennifer and John was a perfect end to a simple, lovely, hassle-free visit. Thank you! I'll look forward to visiting again and wish you peace, health and ease until then. Mmmmwah!

  • My girlfriend and I had a great stay with Jennifer and John! They were very welcoming and hospitable, their property was wonderful as well, just enough removed from downtown Woodstock, we were able to wonder the town but get away from the foliage crowds in the evenings. The room itself was great, a view of the hills behind their house and even a nice little chicken coup outside the window. We very much appreciated their suggestions on places to eat (Cloudland Farms & Woodbridge Diner) as well as a great place for a picnic just off their property. Would definitely reccomend to all who want a nice, quiet and natural Vermont experience.

  • This experience was Airbnb at it's finest. The room was immaculate with a comfortable bed and a view that was incredible to wake up to. We liked the area very much, but the hosts Jenn and John were the best part of the stay. After talking with them and seeing their garden, as well as the walk we took up to John's cabin, we feel lucky to have gotten to stay there. Thanks for making our trip feel like we weren't just passing through to see the Fall colors, but getting to know the real people that you wish there were more of in this world.

  • We woke up last saturday and decided to go to Vermont to view fall foliage. We looked up airbnb, found this property and Jennifer responded promptly and welcomed us. Little did we know we were in for a wonderful weekend. The fall foliage was brilliant, but the trip was truly memorable and fulfilling thanks to Jennifer and John and their beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel very comfortable and treated us like someone in their family. The room is very tastefully done and they clearly put in a lot of thought to make sure one would find everything they need. We woke up to a peaceful morning and to a panaromic view of the mountains. John made us breakfast and even took us for a walk around the property and to the cabin and chapel that they built themselves. We thouroughly enjoyed every aspect of the stay and wished we could stay longer. John and Jennifer are truly special and it was such a refreshing weekend. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

About
John and Jennifer have lived in Vermont for 14 years, and love the country --the woods, the fields, wildlife and the changing seasons. We have a small flock of chickens and grow most of our own food in a large organic garden. John turns spectacular wooden bowls from the hardwoods on the property, and Jennifer teaches classes on spiritual growth, as well as conducting weddings and funerals. Our grown children live in Maine and California.
