The space
'Chalet at Furano Lofts' is a beautifully appointed, contemporary resort home of either 138 square meters (in its 3 bedroom configuration) or 163 square meters (in its 4 bedroom configuration), set on its own parcel of elevated land with views and surrounded by mature conifer trees and open garden. Being part of the award winning Furano Lofts holiday accommodation development, 'Chalet at Furano Lofts' guests also enjoy use of Furano Lofts' onsite private onsen.

Spread over 3 or 4 levels, this exceptional home comprises a ground floor with underfloor heating, on which its spacious entry hall, living room, dining room and fully-equipped modern kitchen are located. There is also a modern, stone-tiled automatic fireplace in the living room and a spacious, sun drenched outdoor deck runs along one entire side of the house.

In the kitchen there is a full-size convection oven, microwave oven, induction cook-top, full size dishwasher and large, family-size refrigerator.

The master bedroom suite is located on its own private level and comprises a king-size bedroom with built in robes and a private en-suite bathroom with 'his and hers' vanity basins, a walk-in shower and full size bath that is set to auto-fill and heat to pre-set levels. The master bedroom faces the ski hill and spectacular views are available from this room and from its private balcony.

On the next level above are two further bedrooms: one is Western-style with two single beds that can be combined to make one king-size bed, and the other is a Japanese-style tatami mat room with generous space for two, sleeping on thick, large size futons.

The bedrooms on the 3rd level share a huge, family-size bathroom that features a sunken bath and shower with Tokachi Mountain views, an extra long, wood grain vanity bench with dual basins, and a separate bidet toilet and large capacity washer/dryer. A restful gallery/reading lounge with dramatic ski-hill views completes the upper bedroom level.

The property, designated as 'Chalet at Furano Lofts' in the exclusive and highly rated 'Furano Lofts' serviced apartment and chalet development, is located in a picturesque and exclusive alpine neighbourhood of Furano's upper ski village known as 'Shimogoryo'.

Locals refer to 'Shimogoryo' as Furano's 'Hollywood Hill' due to the fact that its residents include several actors and the producer/director of the famous Japanese TV series 'Kita No Kuni Kara' that ran for 23 years in Japan and in other parts of Asia.

'Shimogoryo' is also home to the exceptional French-style patisserie, 'Furano Delice', located just 2 minute's walk from 'Mori 2'. Furano Delice's 'Furano Milk Pudding' (a creme caramel style pudding served in a miniature glass Furano Milk bottle) is famous throughout Japan. Also within a 2 minutes walk of the property is French-style bistro, 'Le Chemin', whose 3 Michelin Star trained owner/chef showcases exceptional local produce prepared in a traditional French manner and served at very reasonable prices.

Other Japanese-style ramen and soba noodle eateries are just a short distance away too, as are many of the attractions that have made Furano so justifiably famous e.g the Furano Cheese Factory and the Furano Wine Factory, 'Kaze-no' Garden ('Windy Garden'), 'Ningle Terrace' craft village and Asahigaoka Park with its 2,000 Cherry Blossom trees and deity-lined forest paths. The flower farms of Nakafurano, including Farm Tomita, are just a short drive away.
