The captain's stateroom is large and comfortable, slightly smaller than the master's suite, boasting a queen bed, jacuzzi tub, and all the amenities as mentioned above in the master suite. Either of these two suites can be yours or you have the option of renting both of them out if you have a larger party or would like total privacy.

  • My friends and i were looking for a way to spend some time together and catch up. One of my friends found the Barkissimo on Airbnb and thought it might be a fun way to have a "stay-cation". When we arrived we had arranged for a wine and cheese greeting and it was great. Max, who was working for Scott while he is away, had prepared a great spread - awesome cheese, olives, and other light snacks were a nice way to start our afternoon. We had also made arrangements with their chef, Ben, to prepare dinner on board, it was spectacular! The rooms were small, but cozy and provided a wonderful night's sleep. The location of the slip in Emeryville allows for great views of the east bay hills and lights at night. The next morning the crew prepared a full breakfast of fruit, croissant and quiche - all wonderful. The entire crew is amazing and makes for a perfect way to spend a relaxing time on board.

  • Good fun aboard the Barkissimo! A fresh alternative BnB with a nautical twist. The captains cabin was sweet but a bit challenging for those that are not vertically challenged. I'm 6'2" and just barely fit in the tallest portions of the cabin. We had a wonderful time.

  • The boat was my most amazing airbnb stay to date. The hosts were extremely and even carried our bags to the boat. What more can you want for your anniversary than to sip champagne in a hot tub under the stars ON A BOAT.

  • This is honestly the first time I've taken to write a review and I have to admit, it's a little difficult to give away a well kept secret.. The boat was in immaculate shape, the crew was one of the best and nicest groups of people I've had the pleasure of meeting, and Scott (the captain) was THE BEST!!! I plan on staying with them every time I travel to the bay..

  • Such a fun experience, even though it was for only a single night. Scott and "The Crew" prepared a delicious late-night dinner for us, accommodating our late arrival. It was perfect... as was the breakfast the following morning.
We stayed in the Captain's Quarters and again, perfect and very comfortable. Scott has (email hidden)-fitting of the Barkissimo, and he and his crew did everything to make our brief stay more than enjoyable.

  • Unbelievably romantic, relaxed and cozy. A better option than any hotel I could dream of, and I've stayed in hundreds. This is your best bet for any kind of "getaway" you're looking for that's close to an urban environment.
I was a little surprised that the boat has 3 residents that stay there full time but we never felt intruded upon or uncomfortable in any way. They were interesting travelers in their own right and quite good cooks as well. Breakfast was perfect both mornings.
The view of the lights on the hills and the gorgeous moonrise at night from the hot tub (only big enough for 2 people - perfect for us, but good to know for any larger groups) was dreamy and I have to stop here or this review will take forever.
Wonderful job, Scott and crew ;)
We will be back and I would recommend it to anyone coming this way.

  • Scott and the Barkissimo crew were friendly and extremely accommodating. The whole experience was one of a kind from the wine that we were welcomed with to the 3 course breakfast with fresh squeezed juice. The crew has thought of everything and Josh and I would love to go back.

  • My husband arranged this AirBnB experience as a surprise for our 40th anniversary. It was simply wonderful. Kat and Jon the young couple who work for Scott were welcoming, gracious and very good at creating beautiful, and delicious meals. The accomodations were very comfortable and spacious. There is a hottub on the upper deck which is available for use in the evening. We enjoyed a luxurious soak under the stars with a beautiful view of the bay. The wine and cheese plus the breakfast the next morning were exquisitely presented and absolutely delicious. While the cost of this BnB is more expensive than we would normally pay, for a special occasion it was worth every dollar!

  • Amazing 40th Birthday spent with my amazing boyfriend. Even with plans changing last min regarding dinner on boat or not, Scott was very accommodating. The boat is a amazingly beautiful quiet retreat and Scott and his staff really make you feel like welcomed friends while providing, peace, undisturbed privacy and total comfort. The cheese, crackers and olives upon your first nights arrival were mouth watering and take the experience to another level. Memories of a lifetime were made and Scott and his crew helped to contribute to the whole experience.
