What can I say about Carole and Sherman's place that hasn't been said already.
This was without a doubt my best stay ever!
Carole and Sherman set the bar very high for Airbnb hosts.
Everything is as described, the pictures don't do it justice. Carole's homecooked breakfast are just wonderful.
Both are so easy to talk to and made me feel very welcome in their home. Since I'm travelling alone that was a welcome bonus!
Ask about the peanut butter and Sherms hobby :)
Thank you Michiel for the beautiful review. We're so happy you enjoyed staying with us. We enjoyed your visit also, and hope you will come again some day. We hope the rest of your trip was terrific!! It rained after you left, so your timing was really good.
Carole & Sherman
Nice place to visit Yosemite National Park. To stay in Ahwahnee it is as described.
To us it seems that Carol and Sherman are having fun in meeting quests.
Every morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast and in the evening, after a long day discovering the park, tea was served and we talked a lot and learned about American life and things. For us an other part of an holliday
So a great place to stay, with relaxing moments
Carole and Sherman were amazing hosts. We loved getting to know them and the quirks of their gorgeous dogs. They were so hospitable and cooked wonderful food. Their home is really lovely and located perfectly for seeing Yosemite and some of the broader area, including its shops and restaurants.
Carole wrapped up left over food from breakfast and gave them to us to snack on during our day in Yosemite. Her 'breakfast burrito' was delicious--even for lunch in Yosemite Valley--as were her bran and raisin muffins and chocolate chocolate chip cookies. The accommodation was just as described, apart from the bed which was indescribably comfortable!
Carole & Sherman were very welcoming to us, and we enjoyed a bit of time chatting late in the evening when we first arrived. We swapped stories about the area, recipe ideas, and how much the two of them loved living here. The home was clean and inviting, and we really enjoyed the pups and the cats! My son and I stayed just for one overnight after a wonderful day spent at Yosemite, and were greeted in the morning by a luscious breakfast. Yum! The bed was comfortable and we woke up to birds chattering outside our window, and even an owl hooting! I think if Airbnb had a particular home and host to base their business plan on, Carole & Sherm would be that to a T! If only we'd had more time..... really, really enjoyed our short stay.
Lovely defined-"having a beauty that appeals to the heart or mind as well as to the eye"...or in other words, Carole and Sherman and their Ahwahnee home! Our stay was four nights and we still wanted to stay longer! Highly recommended Air BNB experience!
Thank you for your lovely review of our little home. We enjoyed having you as guests and wished you could have stayed longer. We felt that if we lived closer we would have become forever friends! (Probably would get in trouble together.) ('-)
Carole & Sherm,
It was a great time staying at Carole & Sherman's beautiful house. They provide comfortable visiting experience for the guests to feel like home. The breakfast was really delicious and enjoyed the moment with three little doggies. They are really friendly. Also the place is quiet with beautiful environment.
About the Host, Carole & Sherman
We moved to Ahwahnee from Southern California in 1998. Sherman is a retired plumber, and I am a retired School director. I also worked part time as a church secretary/bookkeeper after I retired. We love our beautiful mountain area, and love to share it with others. We have three small dogs, and five outdoor cats. We always enjoy meeting our guests.
