ROOM DESCRIPTION: Private rooms are for one individual, have locks on doors, and come with a sink. Kitchen, toilet, shower rooms are shared, and professionally cleaned each day. This is a dorm-style atmosphere with great long-term tenants, international travelers, and a friendly on-site manager. Please bring your own towel. This room is similar to the others I have listed, that's why I am just using the same photo. For views of the premises look at the other properties. Thank you for not requesting additional photos of the rooms.
INTERNET: Free wi-fi is available in the living room and dining area, but due to usage it can be VERY slow. If you rely upon wi-fi for work you should arrange your own wireless modem or you can go to starbucks nearby.
PARKING: Free street parking is available nearby (but it goes quickly), otherwise it is $4.00/day at the meters or $4.00/day at the nearby lot. Metered spots are enforced from 6 am - 4 pm and they also cost $4.00 per day.
GETTING THERE: From LAX take the FlyAway bus ($7.00 one way) to Union Station, then take the Gold Line to the Little Tokyo stop. The building is two short blocks away.
WEEKEND ARRIVAL: Please keep in mind that if you are arriving on a Saturday or Sunday the manager may not be there in person to let you in, but there is a lockbox from which you retrieve your keys.
CHECKING IN: Check-in is at 3 pm, Check-out is at 12 noon. Once your reservation is accepted you will receive a phone number for the on-site manager, Alex (different from the one currently listed). Please contact him immediately to discuss check-in details. Please do not wait until the last minute to call. Thank you!
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Because most of our tenants are long-term guests, our security deposit is the equivalent of one month's rent. The deposit is held by Airbnb through your credit card and they will return it to you after your stay. We have had a couple hundred individual reservations with our building and have only had to make deductions for damages a couple of times. If you are a responsible guest, you should have no worries.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS: Additional guests are not allowed without prior notification and prior permission given by the host. Unless agreed to otherwise, any additional guests who stay past 10 pm will be charged an additional $10 per night. If an additional guest is brought without prior permission and paid for in advance, you may lose your security deposit or have your reservation cancelled. Thank you in advance for not bringing overnight guests without prior permission.
Shared bathrooms are cleaned daily, as is the shared kitchen. Laundry facilities are on site. We have a communal, international atmosphere.

The Arts District is nearby as well, with plenty of cafes, art galleries, and street art to view, as well as some of the best restaurants in LA. The (phone number hidden), and other freeways are all nearby.

Roof access is for emergency use only, and additional guests are not allowed without prior notification and express permission, and additional guests must pay a $10 per night fee. He was extremely quick to reply to all my questions, and both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth. The listing description was accurate, and the neighborhood it was in was perfect - safe, fun, and near a metro stop.
Great stay at the Jefferson, my second time to use this location and I definitely plan to come back again. I had to extend my stay twice and Jefferson was very accomodating. Quick note to anyone that visits in the chillier LA months, it may be worthwhile to bring an extra blanket. Evenings can be a bit cool.
I stayed here while trying to find an apartment when I first arrived. This is truly the best value for your money. The price reflects the basic amenities. It's perfect for the person who will not spend much time in their hotel room and would rather spend money on your experience instead. The building is clean and safe. The on site manager is hard working and professional. The area is fantastic, so why stay in your room? Little Tokyo is near downtown and the Arts District. There's so much to explore and great food to eat. The only thing that you'll despise is the parking in such a hot area. Even still, I liked it so much and was so weary of the apartment search, that I went ahead and booked a 6 month lease.
Location was great, accommodations were bare bones but a good value for what I paid.
Great location in an artsy neighborhood. Good place to stay for a month after just arriving in LA. The only issue I had was with the noise since room #235 is near the bathroom and stairway.
Overall, a good experience. Thanks Jefferson!
I had a great stay! Good location, very convenient to transit etc. The room is minimal, but adequate. Bring your own towel. There is a kitchen downstairs, but the utensils are just what ever was left behind by past residents so bring your pocket knife etc. I didn't meet many other residents, but the few I did meet were friendly and interesting. The place has a funky art school dormitory feel, so I felt right at home. It was surprisingly quiet, even at the weekend. I Would definitely stay here again, because of the price and location, and the warm community feeling...
Exactly what it says it is, safe and with a good location, i enjoyed Little Tokyo.
