I felt immediately as a member of the Stewart family. Very nice people and lovely apartment. You enter from a spacious terrace (15 sq meter) to a large room (close to 30 sq meter) having convenient furniture and good bathroom. And everything works!
You have the comfort of a nice home literally in the middle of the jungle - the leaves of the palm trees are touching your terrace. And you are just one mile from the main road: half an hour from LIH and even less from the entrance of the Grand Canyon.
Logic dictates that you stay three days in the southern part of Kauai and three on the north. But listen to your heart and add at least two extra days to relax your soul in this paradise - nowhere will you find this peace, without missing the benefits of civilization (hot shower etc).
It's a rare treat to have a cultured, well traveled gentleman, who has lived a rich life, share a few stories with us. Peter is one of those guests who stand out because he brings a unique perspective and his love of this island and the jungle studio was heart warming and appreciated. We wished he had booked a longer stay with us, but we hope to meet up again- hopefully Budapest ..
We had a really great time staying in the Jungle Studio. Sharon was so helpful and nice, and the studio was clean, private, cozy and in every way perfect. We'd highly recommend staying there!
We love the ambience and feel of the Jungle Studio. The silence and rain were special. Neil and Sharon made us feel welcome.
A massive thanks to Neil and Sharron for their hospitality! My girlfriend and I loved the charming Jungle Studio and felt right at home from the get go. It was perfectly located for our southern exploration and we looked forward to coming home at night to unwind and cook after a day of activity. Neil made sure the bbq had ample charcoal and was all kinds of generous with suggestions, maps, local tips on where to get the best sunset, swimming, coffee, poke, you name it. This was on top of the fantastic email we received when we booked that offered a ton of itinerary and activity options if we needed them. Overall, their personability along with a beauty studio(coffee in the hammock is stellar) created a very cool, memorable experience. Thanks heaps, Tyler and Lana
We had a wonderful time on Kauai and in this cute Jungle Studio apartment. The hosts, Neil and Sharon, are lovely and very accommodating. The studio looks as it does on the pictures on the inside but they don't do a good job capturing the beautiful surroundings. The studio is very spacious and having a big fridge and stove is super convenient. The hammock on the bug-shielded front porch is fantastic to relax and read a book after having melted on the beach.
Studio was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't meet Neil and Sharon since they were out of town but Mary took good care of us. Good location to explore the Island.
It was really great to stay at Neil and Sharon place. Neil is a great surfer, we had a magic session in a secret spot! Thanks a lot!!!

Thirty year resident of Kauai who has built various simple Balinese/Polynesian/ Swiss Family Robinson style timber homes in beautiful island settings.
First came to Kauai in 1980 as part of long world wide surf odyssey - was on his way to Australia, but fell in love with the island, the way of life and spirit of aloha.
Met South African born wife, Sharon, in 2003 on the island. They married on the beach in Poipu in 2005.
Both love the island, love hearing the varied fascinating stories people live, and both love to read and travel!
