Casa Aamapola is a quaint villa tucked away toward the top of a hill near Quepos. Upon arriving, I was happy to notice that it was exactly as described. Because I did not have a car, Thomas was kind enough to pick us up from out shuttle and drive us up the the Villa. The villa was clean and spacious and the view from the balcony really makes this spot special. The one thing that to keep in mind is that that trek up the hill will really make you sweat if you are without a car. I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and am thankful for Thomas for hosting in a friendly and responsive manner.
The stay in Quepos was amazing. The view from the porch was breathtaking and the two hammocks were perfect for a morning coffee or evening view of the sunset. The villa isn't far from the beach, Manuel Antonio National Park or supermarkets and the Friday/Saturday Farmers Market. We rented a car and were able to get any where we wanted to go, but if you don't have a car many places will arrange transportation. Thomas was great. He was very responsive prior to our arrival and was very helpful afterwards as well.
The views from this beautiful house were stunning and made our mornings out on the terrace picture perfect. Thomas was an excellent host as he was always readily available and extremely helpful. He made great recommendations for things to do around the area and helped us book all of our activities. The house was very comfortable and spacious and perfect for the two of us, although it could easily accomodate two more people. We had a great time at Casa Amapola and would highly recommend it to anyone.
I spent one month in this great house overlooking the Pacific ocean with the most spectacular sunsets. It was the perfect place for me to spend time thinking, relaxing but also communicating with my contacts all over the world through the WIFI internet. Thomas is the perfect host, it can’t get any better! He took care of my bookings for the bus from and to San Jose. He picket me up and brought me to the bus station in Quepos. When I arrived, there were fruits, coffee, sugar and creme waiting for me, how thoughtful! On Saturday morning I loved going to the local farmer market in Quepos and get the most delicious fresh fruits, vegetables and fish.
Beautiful place! We absolutely LOVED this place and were blown away when we walked in! The views are fantastic. The house is spacious and very comfortable. We only wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay there again! Thomas was very friendly and accommodating. Not a single negative thing to say about the whole experience. Awesome value... would definitely recommend!!

Well organized, fun and resourceful host with the best local information. This was a great stay and the best way to visit Coast Rica. Thanks Thomas!
My friends and I stayed here for 5 days and we absolutely loved it. The view from the terrace was spectacular especially at sunset. Thomas was such a wonderful host he wasn't overbearing but he made it clear that if we had any questions at all he was happy to help. Even before we got Costa Rica Thomas took the time to communicate with me and tell me about sights and activities in the area. Also, we loved the little notebook he left for us which not only had contact information but brochures and descriptions for activities. The apartment was very clean and there's plenty of space. We were on a hillside so we felt like we had plenty of privacy but we could be in the center of town in less than 5 minutes and it's only about 20 minutes away from Manuel Antonio National Park so the location is excellent. If ever I go to Costa Rica again I will certainly stay here.

About the Host, Thomas + Lili
Moved from Switzerland 16 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green zone, where I offer the Tree House and Villa Malinche. It's almost like the National Park, lot's of wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massage treatments, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
