The Space

Beautiful, clean, spacious and VERY BRIGHT LOFT like studio in an ELEVATOR building overlooking in a quiet TREE LINED block in THE HEART of the EAST VILLAGE.
The apartment is FULLY EQUIPPED with a QUEEN SIZED extra comfortable bed, fine linen and towels, hair-dryer, table for four, a comfortable sleeping couch, flat screen TV with basic cable and WIFI.
The separate WINDOWED kitchen has everything needed for cooking, pots and pans, a coffee maker, toaster and microwave. There is always coffee, bottled water, tea and basics so you can cook your own breakfast.
The neighborhood is fantastic, the TRENDY and famous EAST VILLAGE with uncountable great restaurants, boutiques, thrift shops, flee markets, farmers market and much more. The TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK (Great park with playgrounds, a big dog run and many performance spaces where you can usually find something happening on the weekends. Sundays there is a farmers market w/ some good stuff) is right around the corner.
EAST RIVER PARK is a couple of blocks away. This 57-acre park boasts amazing views of the East River, as well as an amphitheater, playgrounds, gardens, sports fields and courts, and walking and bike paths.
On the corner of the apartment there is 24 hour grocery and a gourmet market with countless options for everything.
There are 2 crosstown buses right on the corner that are scheduled to come literally every 5 minutes and follow the L train route. This is great for a rainy day or if you are coming from the subway with a lot of packages. The nearest subway is the L train which is about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the apartment and it is a great subway line because it connects you with any subway you might need.
Fine linen, fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and soap are always provided. If you need anything , I am always available to help and I am very knowledgeable of the neighborhood and the city.

  • Apartment was exactly as expected from the description on site. It proved to be actually larger than I expected. Check in / Check out were easy, as was communicating with Lena. During my stay the mattress was replaced with a new extra comfy model which I'm sure future guests will enjoy. You are aware of noise from adjacent apartments in the building so if light sleeper get some ear plugs however if you're seeking absolute peace and quiet NYC might not be for you.

Staying in the East Village gives a different spin on a New York holiday and I really enjoyed it. Never stuck for something to do.

  • This was the first Airbnb stay for my wife and I. The apartment was great, exactly as described. The neighborhood was amazing and close to the L train, making it easy to get anywhere we needed to. Communicating with Lena was easy and quick. We definitely recommend this apartment!

  • Lena was great and very accommodating. She met us personally to welcome us into the apartment and hand over the keys. Everything went smoothly and the room was exceptionally clean and as advertised.

    May 2014
  • Everything went well and the apt was very good for our needs. Neighbourhood was just right; quiet, but in 5 minutes walk of all that anyone could need. We used the subway a lot (7 minutes walk) and had a fabulous week in NY

  • A wonderful host, and a lovely, clean, and reasonably convenient location. The host was as good as it gets - VERY flexible with a tricky schedule, open to assisting with luggage, and helpful and communicative throughout. A+ stuff. Delighted with the experience and would recommend to anyone!

  • Perfect location in a hip but quiet neighborhood. For NYC the loft is spacious and the building comes with an elevator. Lots of good restaurants as well as the L-Train Station in walking distance. The building shows signs of wear and we had a little issue with the bathroom but Lena was super responsive and took care of that problem. Check-in was easy and efficient.

  • Lena was such a sweetheart; easy to reach, and the place was exactly what the pictures demonstrate. Would 100% stay here again!

  • Super tip top location. Very safe area. Cafes, Restaurants, Park, everything just around the corner. The apartment is bright and friendly. Provides everything you need including really nice art on the walls. If you are very sensitive about noise: the neighbours are pretty loud from time to time.

  • After a small mix up we stayed in another of Lena's apartments in the same building. It was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location. The elevator was also very handy to have with all our luggage. Lena was very welcoming.

    April 2014
  • It was a clean and well maintained property, and Lena was an attentive and efficient contact who responded to our requests helpfully and promptly on all occasions. The apartment is located in an interesting part of town that is reasonably quiet, and convenient for linking to all of the main subway lines via the L Train. The only slight reservation was that the heating was very loud - too loud for sleeping at night. However, we simply left the heating on all day while we were out, and the apartment stayed pretty warm. All in all, a very nice stay for our first time in NYC!

About
Real estate agent, originally from Colombia but a true New Yorker. I enjoy what this great city has to offer and because of the nature of my job, I certainly know how to offer a 5 stars service for a 2 stars price.
