About this listing
Welcome to my family's beautiful north shore home where classic craftsman meets island styling. The house is literally right next door to a large green park and only a 5 minute walk from Princeville center where you can find everything you'll need!
The house is large and airy with vaulted ceilings, mountains views, and is one of the most well-built houses in the area with brazilian hardwood floors and high-end finishes throughout. All bedrooms are on the ground floor, which not only keeps them cool, but also allows for for an extremely spacious, open plan upstairs that includes the kitchen, living room, and dining areas. Upstairs you will also find a lanai complete with seating area and gas BBQ.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom is equipped with his and her sinks, large tiled shower with built in bench, and a jacuzzi tub. Other bedrooms are carpeted, bright, airy, and spacious. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
Please note that there is no AC in the house, although it does tend to stay cool. I have even had people ask if the AC was on due to the temperature difference from outside! Every room has ceiling mounted fans.
Guests will have access to the whole house, although we keep the office and garage locked to store our personal items.
Interaction with Guests
I live on island and so will generally be available to answer any questions or concerns guests may have.
The house is conveniently located with just a 5 minute walk to Princeville Center where you can find shops, restaurants, a bus stop, supermarket, gas station, post office, library, park, banking facilities, and more. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and large green area literally right next door to the house and you will find beaches, hikes, surf spots, and other outdoor activities within half a mile.
Princeville is home to the #1 rated golf course in Hawaii and is located on over 350 acres of fairways, trees and stunning ocean and mountain views. The closest hole is just a block away.
I would highly recommend renting a car while visiting Kaua'i. There is a public bus service that stops just 5 minutes walk away from my house, but if you are wanting to explore beaches, snorkeling spots, and hikes, you will not be able to do so using the bus as it only stops in towns.
In true Hawaiian style, please take off your shoes and wash off any sand or mud OUTSIDE before entering the home. There is an outdoor tap as well as a (hot) outdoor shower on the left side of the garage.
Guests must remain quiet after 10pm. This is a residential neighborhood and people need to get up early in the morning to go to work.
No parties. No smoking. No pets.
