My 4BR house is close to downtown and the U of I, a 7 min walk to the heart of Main Street and a 10 min walk to campus. Built in 1900, the house has the charm of old Moscow and the comforts of new renovation.
The house is shared between you my guests and my caretaker Cera, who is taking care of my dog while I’m traveling abroad for a year. This guestroom (the available room here) shares a bathroom with one other guestroom. All common rooms are open and welcome to be used.
The space
Built in 1900, this classic old home is quintessential Moscow. The charm of the old structure is juxtaposed with extensive renovations to complete a wonderful, clean home for your stay in the Palouse.
Guest access
Guests can access all common rooms, the driveway, backyard, and basement. Common rooms include TV room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms.
You are welcome to make coffee in the morning (I provide K cups and grounds, so pick your caffeine method). There is also a variety of light breakfast options, but feel free to stock the fridge or pantry with your own choice items as well.
When you arrive, you will find a towel and washcloth on your bed, along with a simple map of the U of I campus and some notes about the town and my house. Soap, shampoo, etc are in the shower. If you need other items like an iron/ironing board, hair dryer, laundry detergent, space heater, extra blankets, etc, I'd be happy to provide those as well. Just let me know! :)
Other things to note
I use a keypad on the front door. The combination changes periodically, but I will send you the updated code in an Airbnb message before you arrive.

Almost everything is walking distance away. The campus is a ten minute walk, with the more distant points on campus (e.g. the Kibbie Dome) about 20-25 minutes. Main Street's bars and restaurants are as close as four minutes walk away and as far (for the Corner Club) as about 20 minutes. I routinely walk to get dinner and drinks. I also provide you a list of several popular restaurants with their approximate walking times and distances for reference.

During your stay
My name is Wills, and my caretaker is Cera. I lived in Moscow and worked at the University of Idaho for three years as an instructor at the Navy ROTC before starting a year-long trip across Europe and Africa in September. While traveling, I am leaving my house and my dog Bodhi in the care of Cera, who will be your point of contact for all things house-related. She works in town but is available if anything is needed. She will be in and out of the house periodically until the evenings when she has dinner before retreating to her room for the night. While your privacy will always be respected, Bodhi (my Alaskan Malamute pup) and Cera love meeting new people and sharing stories and knowledge of Moscow and the Palouse!
