About This Listing
Romantically private, stunning views, comfortable beds, sparkling clean, all the comforts of home & presented with coastal charm. You will understand why our reviews are stellar. Come and see. We will leave the light on for you. (GLBT frienldy)
The Gull House is completely secluded – you will not see another building – only the rocks, ocean, birds, whales, seals and surf.
Eagles soar over the gull and cormorant roosting rocks in our view. These same rocks provide a resting place for migrating pelicans. When the tide goes out you are treated to some of the most stunning tide pools in Oregon, teeming with sea life. Whales spout in view of the Gullhouse and mesmerize our guests for hours as they watch in awe. We hear over and over how the Gullhouse and its atmosphere brings our guests to a profound sense of appreciation for nature. Many feel there is something serenely magical about this lovely little spot.
Every thought has gone into making your stay pleasant and hassle-free, from wireless internet, comfortable king beds in each bedroom, high-quality bed linens, 3 TVs and DVDs, an ipod docking station on the stereo, spices and condiments, guest spa/bathrobes, binoculars and spotting scope.
Beach access is across the street. There are also 4 State Parks with direct beach access within a radius of 2 miles from the Gullhouse.
The tide pools across the street draw visitors from all over the world. In addition, there are miles of walkable, sandy beach from our area down to the Waldport bridge, about 5 miles.
The little town of Seal Rock is within walking distance (1/4 mile) where you will find eateries: Indulge (fabulous ice cream shop and home of the Evil Brownie), Seal Rock Cafe, and Yuzen Japanese Restaurant. Across the street from the stores is Seal Rock State Park.

The solitude is meditation quality.
The tide pools across the street are world class.
If you are a Sushi lover, you must try Yuzen's. It's an easy walk from the house and their food has been claimed to be "of San Francisco quality". Service is slow, so be patient.
You definitely need a car. Unless you are bicycling the Coast Highway.
Other Things to Note
There are bike lanes on Highway 101. The Gullhouse is a natural stop if you are biking the Coast highway.
Very strict 'no pet' policy.
Signed rental agreement.
Please clean up after your cigarette use.
**The Gullhouse has a fantastic protected view and is closer than many oceanfront homes to the beach. However it is located across the street from the beach and cautious crossing is necessary. Young children should be accompanied by an adult. There are 4 state parks with excellent beach access and parking for your car within a 2 mile radius.
The hosts had detailed directions to the house, which was good, because the location is a bit tricky to find. Once found, however, the location is perfect to explore the Oregon coast and the state parks nearby. Also, the unobstructed ocean views were as beautiful as promised, and we enjoyed them from inside the house, the deck and the terrific hot tub. One negative for us was that the interior of the house felt dated. But on the plus side, the kitchen was very well equipped and generously stocked, there were 3 TVs with either DVD/VCR players and/or Netflix, and our bed was very comfortable. Also, they provided good, free wireless internet.
This place is magical! We are a family of four - we have two small children aged 1 & 2. There was so much in this quaint holiday home for them to explore. It was full of charm and character and the views were fabulous - the ocean and sunset view from the hot tub was unbeatable.
The hosts were very helpful and friendly and we felt grateful that they trusted us in their bolthole. They gave us plenty of helpful advice too.
The local beach was a great place for the kids to explore even at their tender age.
Extraordinary in every way. Charming. Beautiful views. We will be back!
Oregon coast is a great place if you like long solid beaches and ready for windy and chilly weather. This home is a place where you have a stunning ocean view along with everything you need to spend a great vacation. The home has certain marine spirit in it and gave us a unique chance to see beautiful sunsets every evening of our stay there. 101 highway between the home and the ocean was a concern, but it was barely heard and didn’t disturb us. This home has made our weeklong Oregon Coast experience really enjoyable.
Loved the house it was amazing great view and close to the beach. Also some great fishing of the rocks nearby.
Debi made us feel so welcome and so special! The kitchen is well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. The view was better than expected and it was hard to leave! Very comfortable and the most fabulous location.
Amazing place, great hosts, couldn't have been better! Thanks!
