This clean, comfortable home is on a quiet street near a beautiful walking trail. We're close enough to PU for you to enjoy a game, concert, visiting your student, or researching without a high hotel cost or long ride home. You can cook here too!

The space

Please notice our SuperHost designation!
We strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

West Lafayette is the "Home of Purdue" therefore much of the community life here is connected to the university: lectures, athletic events, concerts, galleries, etc. We are close enough to enjoy what the campus offers but out of the fray of near-campus living.

Guest access

The kitchen is open for your use and we'll save some room in the pantry and fridge for you. Other shared spaces are the living room (great light for reading or board games) and family room
(especially nice for movie watching.)
The bathrooms for this room are shared with one or two other people. Everyone leaves their toiletries out of sight and towels in their rooms so the bathrooms stay clean and uncluttered.
We have a nice patio in the yard with a grill, fire pit and dining/work table. The wifi reaches out there too.
Note that we do not have tv service (keeps the sound clutter away) but do have a large screen tv, some dvds, and a streaming Netflix subscription.

Interaction with guests

This is a shared home with up to three other people residing here. It's a four bedroom home. Housemates are friendly, interesting, professional, and social but are not intrusive. We respect that some guests while 'home' will want rest and solitude, others will prefer company and chatting. Most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable.

Other things to note

-Check out at 11 am is typical; it gives us time to ready for the next guest. However, you may leave your luggage at the house during the day if you need to.
- A limited breakfast is offered: tea, coffee, instant oatmeal. It's best to bring your own. There will be space for your food.

I didn't have a chance to meet Diane because she was traveling. But she was very informative regarding changes, check-in, rules, etc. The two guests were really friendly. I had a great time there. One thing I was not satisfied is the beddings. I was not convinced they were clean. It had some scents but didn't smell like from fresh laundry. And the sheets had ball tops which made it uncomfortable to cover with. The overall experience was pretty good other than that.

Response from Diane:
Sorry I wasn't home to make that better, Agudemu. We had quite a few guests in a row and you ended up with not the best sheets Although they were clean, they are obviously too worn out to be used anymore. . Thanks for the heads up.

The pictures here on Airbnb match the actual ambiance of Diane's home. Diane was a terrific host- she was prompt in her communication prior to my stay, and was considerate to inform me of unexpected changes. Diane's home is clean and inviting. In particular the living room and outdoor patio were very relaxing spaces to unwind after a long day of work. Location is also great- less than 5 minutes to groceries, restaurants, and Purdue. However, Diane's friendliness was the best part of my stay. I enjoyed chatting with her and the other house guests while even sharing a delicious home cooked meal one evening. I would definitely recommend staying at Diane's place and would return in the future!

Diane was an excellent host! The house and garden are beautiful, and Diane is a magnificent soul---So much fun to chat with. She goes far and above what she has to. Delightful experience---infinitely better than staying in a hotel. Purdue campus is a short (7 min) drive away. I highly recommend staying here!

Diane's place is in a nice neighbor and not far from the Purdue campus. Good walking paths or bicycling around the area, including a beautiful park near by. Good size kitchen to cook in, relax outside in the backyard. Over all lots of room to relax. I feel she is centrally located in West Lafayette. Enjoyed our conversations. Would definitely stay here again, when passing through. Thank you again.

Hip ranch and zen getaway from the hustle and bustle of Purdue campus. Yet a stones throw away, this funky setting will recharge and inspire you. Diane treats her guests with friendly care and positive energy. A welcoming retreat from anywhere in the world to somewhere quite special. The pictures tell only half the story. Expect to breath and rest more mindfully here.

Diane is a wonderful host and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. She has done a great job keeping the place clean and organized. She's got a beautiful house with a fine living room and kitchen ( I personally love the skylights!). It's a great neighborhood and a quite peaceful one. As a host, Diane is extremely helpful and welcoming. I was able to learn a lot about Lafayette from her since it was my first time here. In conclusion, you can't go wrong with this place! Cheers!

I've been using Airbnb as a guest for a couple of years. Every home-away-from-home stay was a nice experience and I hope my guests will be able to say the same.

I'm a happy middle-aged emptynester who travels frequently just for fun. When in West Lafayette, I like to go walking or cycling (we have many trails in the area), listen to music, read, practice yoga, go out for live music, dancing, or comedy shows, or have friends over for soup and board games. (I know, it's all too exciting, isn't it?!)

I'm a full time real estate broker and if you are planning to move to this area I'd love to help you find your home. Note: in most areas of the US, the buyers do not pay the commission for helping find a home. The fees are paid by the person selling their home.

Hope to meet you soon,
