A fantastic location for a one bedroom flat in the heart of Covent Garden in central London.
Restaurants, shops, theatres, cinemas, clubs, bars and pubs, museums and art galleries are all a few minutes walk away. Covent Garden Piazza, Soho, Leicester Square and Shaftesbury Avenue are less than 5 minutes walk away and Oxford Street and Trafalgar Square probably take about 5 minutes.
The apartment is above Neal's Yard at the top of Neal Street. It is accessed from both Neal's Yard and Shorts Gardens up flights of stone steps and security doors at the top give access to an open air courtyard at first floor level. The hall leading to the flat is accessed directly from this courtyard.
The apartment has wooden floors and a sitting room with sofa, coffee table, dining table and four chairs. The small fitted kitchen is at one end of the room with fridge, hob and microwave (which can also be used as oven or grill). The fully tiled shower room is off the hall and there is also a washer/dryer in a cupboard in the hall. The bedroom is at the back of the flat overlooking the courtyard and is therefore very quiet with a double bed, plenty of storage space and a hair dryer in the drawer. I've just added an alarm clock (with no tick!) as requested by one of our guests.
New secure Wifi Internet is available in the flat and there is a television with dvd player in the living room.
The apartment is small but well designed and has everything you need as a base to explore central London and is ideal for two people.
The nearest tube stations are Covent Garden and Leicester Square.

We loved our week long stay at Gilly & Richard's flat. It was easy to get to from the train station (from Paris) and to the airport via the underground. The flat was in a perfect location - it was our first time visiting London and we walked almost everywhere, and the places that were a bit farther were a quick underground ride away. Perfect set-up for two, it was great having a little kitchen and dining room to eat if we didn't feel like walking to one of the million restaurants within walking distance. Communication was quick and easy. Check in and check out was very easy. We would definitely stay again next time we are in London.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gilly & Richard's cosy apartment - so central and yet very sheltered from the hustle & bustle of London once you get through the gate. It was a treat for my son & I to experience living like Londoners in a very hip part of the city:) Gilly was very helpful & responsive right from our 1st query to personally meeting us at the gate which was very much appreciated after our 23 hr flight from Down Under. An unexpected bonus - the Seven Dials/St Martins Square annual Christmas Shopping Night in the midst of our stay there!
Thanks Gilly - we'll be back!
This is a charming property , very central and well equipped . Everything you need is within walking distance . I recommend this property, and next time I am in London I will definately book with Gilly again , she is a great host .
Thanks so much to Gilly for all the assistance while we were staying in London - importantly, as she promised, the coffee at Monmouth was excellent. As others have said, you want for nothing at the flat. It was so much more comfortable than the hotel we stayed at last time in the area, and the location is second to none. It was a real treat to be close to everything, especially the many transport links. It made getting to outer suburbs to see friends easy. And I particularly wanted to note that Gilly was very helpful and prompt in the process of initial booking. We will definitely try and stay again next time we are in London.
This flat is in a great location in the heart of the action two blocks from Covent Garden, yet is absolutely silent with the windows closed. The flat was immaculate and everything worked well. There was no problem getting or returning the keys.
There are lots of good restaurants in the immediate neighborhood and lots of traditional pubs. It's an easy walk to Leicester, Trafalgar and Piccadilly squares. Big Ben, London Eye and the Thames are an easy walk as well.
I would recommend this flat without hesitation.
Gilly and Richard's flat in Covent Garden is absolutely lovely! It was clean, conveniently-located, and extremely comfortable. The apartment was set up with everything a guest could possibly need, and Gilly was extremely fast at responding to inquiries before my visit. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended the flat to friends.
From the minute we arrived and were greeted by Gilly we felt very much at home.Communication was excellent leading up to our stay and everything about the apartment was as advertised. The apartment is immaculate and has everything you (website hidden) for the location it is superb within easy walking distance of central London and right in the middle of Covent Garden.I would have no hesitation in recommending this to my friends and family. Thanks Gilly and Richard for a great London experience.
Heart of Covent Gardens was everything I had hoped for. Clean, comfortable and very central to everything. The apartment is exactly how it is shown in the pictures. Gilly was a wonderful Host who met us and provided extra little touches like biscuits, fruit, cereal and a bottle of bubbly. I would highly recommend this apartment to friends and any one who is looking for a home away from home in a very central part of London.
What a great location! We were close to all the sites and very conveniently located to the tube. The flat was very comfortable and Gilly was great. We had no problems meeting her and she ran through everything about the flat with us. Our stay was comfortable with no problems and the location felt very safe.
We enjoyed our stay in the centrally-located, well-appointed Heart of Covent Garden flat. Gilly was there to greet us and to familiarize us to the flat. She thoughtfully had stocked the refrigerator with breakfast items, fruit, and snacks...even a bottle of the bubbly! All we had to do was put our feet up and relax after our trip from Heathrow. We will definitely check in with Gilly on our next trip to London. K&T
