Houseboat Amsterdam (15min Centre)

House - Entire home/apt · Buiksloterdijk, Amsterdam, North Holland 1034, Netherlands

Relative new and luxerious houseboat in the North of Amsterdam, with free parking, only 15 minutes from city centre.

Interior of the houseboat can changes due to changing interest of the owner, best described as modern and light.

The Space

The houseboat: entree on ground floor (you first need to take the stairs down the dyke and walk through the basic garden which is tiled), which gives access to the large living room, which overlooks the canal on the back side of the apartment. You'll also find the luxurious kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee machine, quooker), study with wired internet access, washing room with washing machine and dryer at the ground floor.

On the first floor, you will find two bedrooms, a large dressing room and a luxurious bathroom with toilet, bath and separate shower. The master bedroom is on the backside of the building, with water view. In this room, there is a large bed for two persons. The smaller room has one bed, which sleeps two; an additional mattress for person number 5 is available in the dressing room

The house has many windows which makes it very bright/light inside. We have chosen not to have window coverings downstairs because we love the light.

The garden is basic, we are still working on that. You can sit in the sun in de afternoon, and/or have a great barbecue here.

Bicycles (3)

In addition to all of the above we can arrange a boat tour through the Amsterdam Canals. This tour is guided by a friend of ours who can pick you up at the house boat or some boats further down the canal (50 meters from our houseboat). This 3 hour tour for a maximum of 4 persons costs 100 euros and need to be paid directly to the tour guide. Lunch and drinks are available at additional costs.

  • Look no further!! You have found the perfect spot to stay, unwind and relax in Amsterdam!! Hans and Annelies are living the dream and are willing to share it with you.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, spacious, light filled, beautifully decorated and designed house boat so much, we didn't want to leave again.
It is located in a beautiful spot just at the canal amongst other floating homes and is far enough from town to be quiet and but still close and easily accessible with the free ferry which runs all the time back and forth to NDSM wharf and the main train station. The journey itself is so nice and an experience itself, that not every person enjoys, while being in Amsterdam. There are 3 bikes to explore the area, some nice bars and restaurants in the up and coming area of Noord.
I highly recommend you booking in with their friend Ad for a private canal boat trip (3 hours and much cheaper and better in comparison to the ones being offered in town) who will show you the town from a different perspective and share some funny stories.
The house was not lacking anything, we felt really welcome and had the most wonderful experience. Hans and Annelies were really looking after us, left a welcome cake and bubbly on the table, prepared maps, explanations and information for us and were constantly in touch if everything was ok. It was the nicest oasis you could wish for.
Thank you again, guys! We will be back!

  • Deze woonboot is een echte aanrader!
Ziet er luxe en netjes uit.
We voelde ons erg welkom.

  • No doubt, this is definitely a FIVE-STAR-PLACE. A wonderful houseboat, modern, individual with love to the detail. Spacious, clean and cozy. Hans is very helpful and friendly, the communication has been perfect! The nothern part of Amsterdam is vibrant, alternative and peaceful as well. The perfect place to stay. Close to the centre, just 10 minutes by ferry. Highly recommended, thanks a lot!

  • The houseboat is amazing!!! It's beautiful, clean, cozy, and peaceful! It's a great place to stay in Amsterdam without being in town all the time but close enough to enjoy it all without a problem. The host was helpful and friendly since the first contact. Do not hesitate it if you are thinking to stay there!

  • I had such a relaxing, wonderful time at Hans' place! I actually feel very spoiled to have been able to stay there. Everything, from the spectacular coffee machine to the huge bath upstairs, was luxurious and exceptionally comfy. I don't know why people stay at hotels when you can stay in a place like Hans'. A magical place and I would to return soon.

  • Просторный, удивительный, чистый дом! мы такого даже сами не ожидали! с собственным выходом к реке, куда приплывают утром лебеди. огромная гостиная больше всего понравилось. огромный плюс для европы - свободная парквока около дома. рекомендую!

Spacious, surprising, pure house! we such even didn't expect! with own exit to the river. a huge drawing room most of all it was pleasant. huge plus for Europe - a free parking about the house. I recommend!

  • Can't say more than all the others. The house is wonderful, modern, nice furnitures, good beds, better kitchen than at home, we missed nothing at all. Unfortunately we (2 couples) only stayed 2 nights.
Getting to town is with the ferry very easy and convenient. No parking fees, ferry for free and only a 15 minutes ride to central station. What do you want more?

  • First of all: This place is just amazing!
The pics on the Airbnb website aren't lying!
We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Too bad we only stayed for 2 nights. :-(
We'll definitely be coming coming back sooner or later.

We'd highly recommend this wonderful playce to stay!
If you want to stay on a houseboat when visiting AMS, this is most definitely THE spot.

Hans was a superb host even though we did't have the chance to meet up during our stay. Everything worked out so well! :-D

Thank you very much for having the four of us!

I'm born in 1981 and married with Annelies (1983). We are fortunate that we were able to buy this wonderful house boat in one of Europe's most exciting cities. Hans is born in Dordrecht and also lived in Capelle aan den Ijsel en Alphen aan den Rijn. Annelies grew up on a house boat further down the canal. We like to travel a lot and hope to do so for many years. Besides traveling we like to walk the dog, play soccer (Hans), go shopping (Annelies) and meet with friends. We hope you like our house boat.
