My apartment is clean, cosy and located in a great, lively neighbourhood called De Pijp. On 5-10min. walking distance from the city center.
It has a large livingroom with open kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and balcony.
I will be traveling for work a lot in the next year and therefore would like to host visitors of this fantastic city.
If you like to stay in my apt. please send me a message. I am happy to give you tips on where to go/eat/dance/drink/rent bikes as well and I know all the cultural hotspots of the city!
Ester's apartment provided the perfect base for our trip to Amsterdam - it's a great location, especially for cycling around the city (took 10-15 mins to get into the city centre), it was much more spacious than I expected and included a balcony at the back which was great for some downtime. Ester was very kind and helpful throughout the trip, and even left us some treats (wine, stroopwafel!) on our arrival. I would definitely stay here again on any future trips to the Dam.
Ester is very kind hearted, she knows how to treat her guest to the best, she felt our need for the apartment and organised it in the best way. The apartment is classical in all way, just too spectacular plus it's located in Amsterdam Central.
Great location, very nice apartment with balcony tree view from the bedroom. Only problem was that the landlord tried to come in to the apartment (luckily we had the latch on!). Ester refunded us 50 euro for the inconvenience but I would much rather have not had to deal with being asked to lie to the owner (we are Ester's friends staying here etc etc). There was also construction going on outside the bedroom window for 3 days - so couldn't use the balcony or open the bedroom curtains for half the stay. The beautiful giant bedroom windows also faced due east with no trees or buildngs to filter out the sun, so we woke up at 5am each day even with the curtains drawn.
Again, very nice apartment and great location (de pijp very close to the awesome AlbertCupt Straat market) but not great for sleeping past 6am, assuming you don't run into the building owner who is a bit of a jerk.
We spent a perfect time - thank you, Ester!! You are awesome, despite the fact that we have not seen each other ))
She gave us really good inspiration what to do and where to go in Amsterdam! The room is really cozy, we slept so good and the area, Pijp, is really lovely point to discover the city. We'd love to come back! Wifi access, good "play-list" of Cafés, restaurants and shops, all we need is care - so here we are!! I highly recommend Ester’s apartment.
Ester was wonderful. Her place was great. I would definitely stay there again. She gave very useful information and kept in touch. I wasn't able to meet her unfortunately because she was out of town. But you can feel and see her personality throughout her place. She has a beautiful and kind soul. The place is located close to the center but far enough to get away from all the tourist.
Ester is a perfect hostess: she was there to give us the keys and explain the basics and after she left she kept in contact with us via email. She also provided us a map and useful tips about the area and Amsterdam in general.
The apartment is very nice and cozy. It is on a big street but it's not noisy by night. It is (email hidden) to stay, it is a house with a personality.
The only two 'negative' (but not actually negative) things I can point out are the lack of heavy curtains or shutters, so if you're not used to sleep in daylight you'll have some troubles at dawn... And the inflatable bed we used for our daughter, that was leaking and leaving her on the floor by morning, but of course it can be replaced and I'm sure Ester will do.
The location is nice and convenient: 15 minutes to the centre by bus or bycicle, and you can find supermarkets, bars, restaurants and bike rentals around.
I'd recommend this place to a friend!
We had a great stay at Ester's place. The location was convenient if you don't mind walking or buy a bus pass. We really did feel like we were at home away from home. I hope we have a chance to stay there again.
We spent in Amsterdam 7 days including Queen Birthday and really enjoyed the apartment. Location is perfect: the biggest market around the corner, lots of small cafes to eat, local pubs on walking distance. City center could be rich with 15 minutes walk or coupe tram stops. Apartment is clean and Ester is very helpful host. She helped us a lot with recommendations of what to do and where to go and was kind enough to leave some food & drinks in the freezer. I give it 5+
Ester's place is comfortable and conveniently located in lively neighborhood, and she was a friendly and helpful host. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again. I had to use cafes for wifi access, but they are readily available nearby.
