We had a fab time staying with Tara, her husband and lovely dogs. Tara was great and looked after us extremely well, lovely breakfasts and dinner every evening after long days out was very much appreciated. The cottage is particularly nice and overall the surroundings are very peaceful. We have no hesitation in recommending Tara's house, you never know we might be back!!
We had a wonderful visit with Tara. The location is idyllic and we had a most relaxing time. She was kind enough to provide a great breakfast and could not do enough to ensure we had everything we needed. Her three dogs were fantastic.
Tara and her family were very friendly and provided great amenities but this place fell short of our expectations, especially for the price. From the outside, the grounds are stunning. I mean, absolutely, knock-your-socks-off beautiful with views of rolling hills and incredible buildings. Inside, though, the apartment definitely needed a deep cleaning and some updating. Our bed sheets had lipstick stains on them in multiple places, the couch was so stained I didn't even want to sit on it, and the kitchen sink had old plums in a bowl underneath that had clearly been forgotten by a previous guest. There were cobwebs everywhere and the shower smelled a bit like pee. With a little elbow grease, this place has great potential!
Tara was very friendly and had great recommendations of where to go in town. Very friendly dogs to play with. Room is fair for price.
What a great start to our vacation! Tara welcomed us warmly, showed us around the flat and gave us the tips on how to have the best visit. We basically had the run of the place, exploring the wheel house, the creek, playing with the 3 dogs (our daughter exclaimed that she would prefer to stay here over going on with the vacation), rubbing horses' noses, swinging on the tree swing and jumping on the trampoline. Having the flat to ourselves made us extremely comfortable that we wouldn't disturb anyone else. Tara ended each of our conversations, that if we needed anything else, just to let her know at the house. She provided pointers on places to go as well. Breakfast was in the kitchen when we arrived. What a memory, to have my husband don the apron and fix our first Irish breakfast with eggs, ham/bacon, sausage, cereal, toast, etc. Yummy. We were all giggles. Definitely on our return list when we go back.
Tara was a very helpful & friendly host before and during our stay. Lovely location and the apartment suited our needs perfectly. Particularly liked the super comfy bed and tasty breakfast!
We do enjoyed our stay at Tara's. She was very helpful with directions and have us a heartfelt welcome even though we arrived really late. We had the whole top floor to ourselves: spacious living room-kitchen, lovely and cozy bedroom, the area around was also rather original since it was an old mill. We were provided with good and delicious provision for the next day breakfast and we are glad to recommend to anyone who decides to stay there!

About the Host, Tara
I moved here with my husband Anthony in 2008 after we had spent quite a lot of time travelling for his career in sailing Stars, and now live here with our children, dogs and horses working from home and have been restoring the mill and outbuildings , - I live in the main house and offer any guest as much privacy as they would like - but also like to welcome guests as family.
We both have a great interest in cooking & food, have a thriving vegetable garden and aim to provide most of our vegetables from it; we love sports in general, rugby sailing polo and hunting in particular, and would be described as people people !!
