Hi it was good experience. Apartment location is very good, very near to piazza doumo. The facility inside the apartment are all in good condition, clean and new. Many thanks
We had such a pleasant stay at the Gold Apt!! The apartment is very lovely. Nicely decorated make you feel at home. Great location, clean, cozy. It's on the main level therefore you won't get alot of sun light but the big windows give you fresh air that you dont even need AC. Great communication and very accommodating.
Totally recommend to everyone!
The location of the apartment is great. It's beautifully decorated. An issue came when we actually arrived and needed to know where to park. The number we were given was not accurate and Ale did not answer his phone or respond to our email until it was too late. This was a big problem for us as we walked across city. Also, the place is supplied like a bachelor's pad. While there was toilet paper it wasn't actually on the dispenser. There were only hand towels which were too big to use as a washcloth and too small to use as a towel. We asked about getting an iron and were told we couldn't get one until the day we were to leave. He charges extra for A/C and internet which out of the 4 places we stayed he was the only one to do that. There was just no personal touch that I've experienced with other places that I've stayed.
I'm sorry for your problems.
The owner is not responsible for your disattention. In your reservation form is indicate website where the host can park his car. The apartment is in historical center in pedestrian zone, there isn't parking near home.
For toilet paper I suppose the problem would have been if there wasn't toliet paper, not if it wasn't on the dispenser.
The extra cost for wi-fi and AC is well indicated on the advert. In Italy electricity is very expensive and many people use leave the apartment with the conditioner on and lights on. More respect would be welcome.
This apartment is not an hotel with five stars. This is a family apartment with basic outfit. The price is adeguate for the the accommodation.
This is a delightful apartment. It is conveniently located near the San Lorenzo cathedral and the Mercato Centrale. It is quiet. Ale was responsive and helpful in coordinating everything. Fabrizio is a local contact who assists in transportation and can provide information on local resources for touring. The only thing to be aware of is that it is a somewhat dark property, however, with the ample lights on, it is very cheerful and comfortable. Easily sleeps two-four, but with only one bathroom, four people may find the facility tight. We would definitely stay at this property again. A great value!
This is a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Florence. The street is pretty quiet which is nice, especially at night. However, you are a twenty second walk away from the leather markets, the beautiful shops, sights, restaurants.
Ale was great with communication and the apartment is well appointed and nice and clean.
The Florence Gold apartment was not exactly what we expected from the photographs and descriptions on the website. The apartment was dark, small, and damp. Every light in the place had to be turned on to see. Washed clothes took 3-4 days to dry. On the other hand, the apartment was, as advertised, centrally located and in proximity to some excellent restaurants. And, as described, had a new and well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom, on the other hand, was tiny and contained one shriveled stub of soap and about 8 sheets of toilet paper. Note to host: small details like these are quite irksome when you've settled in for the night and don't want to go to the grocery store.
We really enjoyed the (website hidden) had everything we needed for a short stay. The neighbourhood is full of life and safe. On our first day as we were unable to reach the host we found a restaurant with WiFi that were quite helpful even though they didn't speak much english. The restaurant was called " Da Pinocchio", because they were friendly and had amazing for for a great price. We had dinner there every night. They made us feel like we had a family in Firenze.
The Gold Apartment was as lovely as the picture show. It is located in a fantastic location, near all the sights as well as on a pedestrian block (no cars, very quiet). The apartment has a lot of electrical outlets and a washer, which was helpful for us. Fabrizio picked us up from the station and helped orient us to the neighborhood. Both he and ale were very quick to respond to questions.
We had a very nice stay at the Florence Gold Apartment. The location was in a great location and we walked to all the site with no need of public transportation. We stayed with our three children and the accomodations worked well for us. The spiral staircase to the loft can be challenging but there were no issues.
Apartment was clean and we really enjoyed the proximity to the markets in San Lorenzo Sq, which is at the end of the street. We tripped the circuit breaker a few times but it was a quick fix. out in the hall.
The apartment was very eclectic with high ceilings and interesting fixtures. The only downside was the carts rolling down the street early in the morning to get to the market..... but we were on Holiday so no reason to stay in bed too late.
Great place to stay and experience Florence.
