Interaction with Guests
The house is big enough for privacy and we will mainly be upstairs in the evenings. We are happy to provide recommendations for local activities and amenities.
Moreland Road is in north-west Melbourne, right on the border between Coburg and Brunswick. Sydney Road is five minutes’ walk away and is full of shops, cafes and bars. Turn right down Sydney Road to go towards the city and the “trendy” (Brunswick) end of Sydney Road; turn left to get to Coburg (about 15 minutes’ walk). You don’t have to go far to find some really nice cafes, bars and restaurants.
Seconds from the train station (15 minutes to Melb CBD), Sydney Rd trams, buses and bike paths. Easy walking distance to most amenities. 25 min cab to Melb airport.
Other Things to Note
Inflatable bed available, sleeps two additional people in the sitting room by arrangement ($30 per person). Travel-cot available for guests travelling with small children.
No smoking in house.
No uninvited/unexpected guests.
Guests are welcome to use wireless internet, but accessing illegal downloads or material is not permitted.
Dan was very welcoming on arrival showing us the house, ably assisted by young Max who pointed out all of his favourite toys and bikes.
The house is a stunning Victorian era terrace house and very well laid out.
The bedroom is huge and very clean and comfortable.
Location is within walking distance to restaurants and takeaway, as well as the train station.
Dan, Charlotte & Max are AWESOME! we enjoyed a lot of our stay! they are so welcomed! we are so blessed to be able to stay in such a lovely and warm place at melbourne. The room and house are exactly the same as the photos and it is close to the station!
We couldn't recommend this enough!! Dan, Charlotte and Max were all so welcoming and lovely to talk to! The room was extremely as described and the house is beautiful. We had never used Air B&B before, but we will definitely use it again. It is in such a perfect location to get to the city. Thank you for all the recommendations whilst we were there. We will be back in the future hopefully! Thank you :)!!!
We fully enjoyed our stay at Dan's place. The room was lovely and Dan gave us helpful directions to the house and around the city. We had our private bathroom with nice shower soap and shampoo and Dan provided cerials, fresh fruit and coffee/tea in the living room, so that we could have some breakfast before exploring Melbourne. We could also use two myki cards so that we could easily use Melbourne's public transport and the train station Morelrand Rd which is only some meters away from the house. It felt definitely like coming home every night.
I booked this wonderful place for my parents when they arrived on their first trip to Australia. Dan was very helpful settling the details of my parent's stay. He welcomed my parents very warmly and set them up comfortably in the beautiful and very spacious guest room. They got there late on a Sunday night which was not a problem at all. When I met them the following morning they were well rested and full of good feedback for Dan and his lovely family. I would recommend Dan's wonderful place to anyone without any hesitation.
We had a terrific stay at Dan's and Charlotte's and Max's. A lovely, friendly family who welcomed us thoroughly into their home. The place itself is well located near the train station and a short walk to restaurants and shops, including some great Middle Eastern food. Also close to the refurbed Brunswick Baths, which has a crèche. It was nice to stay somewhere a bit different in Melbourne. Dan had an impressive knowledge and was more than happy to offer tips. Max kindly lent his portacot, high chair and baby bowls, which made travelling with a child much easier! Definitely recommended.
An absolutely lovely home in a very convenient location, near the airport and mere metres from the train into town. The welcome was superb and the room extremely comfortable. Beware if you're a light sleeper, though, as the house sits on quite a busy road. All in all, an excellent stay. Thanks!
Charlotte, Dan and Max live here. Charlotte is originally from the UK and Dan is from New South Wales; Max was born in 2012. Charlotte works in the CBD three days a week and from home on Fridays, and Dan is a stay-at-home dad so he’s usually at home if you need any help or have any questions during your stay.
