The Space

So... this apartment is a 2 bedroom apartment with two full baths. My girlfriend Beta and I have one room, along with our chocolate lab Billy Bob. The other room is what we are listing. It is a furnished bedroom with FULL PRIVATE BATH. What we are offering is a tasteful place and cool, relaxing vibes. We have everything from high quality fabrics for the bed, pillows and sofa chair to high quality decor and amenities which makes this place appealing to people of all tastes. This includes granite counter tops, high end appliances, crystal chandeliers, a solid oak table, and a very comfortable French made couch. We have a bar, wine rack and outdoor 3rd floor balcony which faces the hills above Glendale and Burbank. So check out the pictures and see how our place has been specifically designed for comfort and relaxation.

During your stay, you can plan complete access to the fully equipped kitchen. We have all types of skillets, pots, pans, baking equipment, wine decanters, every thing you might need to prepare any dish. Like I said, Beta is a trained chef and can be particular about keeping her kitchen organized, but that has never been a problem in the past. We might even cook for you a time or two :). Of course, we just ask that you clean what you use. That's it. Otherwise, feel free to stock the fridge with whatever groceries you may need for your stay. You will also have plenty of cabinet space in the kitchen. And if you need to borrow anything small such as salt or olive oil, we don't mind. We are here to make your stay stress-free and even enjoyable. If you need directions somewhere, or advice on secret parking options in Hollywood, or where the best celebrity hang outs are, we got you! We can give you the local run down on Universal Studios vs. Disneyland; Huntington Beach vs. Venice Beach; the best route to LAX for a certain time of day; and even tell you where you can find the only waterfall in Los Angeles County!

The surrounding neighborhood is family oriented and full of relaxing walk/hike options. About 3 blocks away is the Americana at Brand, which is an enormous and beautifully designed shopping center and park. Its from the same company that designed The Grove in West Hollywood if you know that. We go to Americana all the time. In fact, every Saturday morning they have an amazing farmer's market with organic food and fresh produce. Also there is fine Italian dining, a famous LA sushi joint called Katsuya, an award-wining Chinese restaurant and a gourmet Mexican place with great happy hour specials. For the shopping, you have everything from an Apple Store, to Barnes and Noble, to Anthropologie, to Coffee Bean, to H&M and everything in between. They also have a great multiplex theater. This is all within three blocks of our place.

This is a secure pet-friendly building, with elevator, and fitness center available. FREE FAST WIFI. Post office nearby.

Located minutes from the 5, 101, and 134 freeways. Glendale is between Hollywood, Burbank, Pasadena and Los Feliz. Nearby attractions include the LA Zoo, Griffith Park, the Hollywood Bowl, Disney Animation, Dreamworks, Americana at Brand. Major bus stop is across the street.

  • We stayed 4 nights at Jerod and Beta and had a wonderful time. Very easy to find, and super convenient to park the car.
Though we were all out and about the entire time, the place felt always quiet and peaceful. The bed is very comfortable, we slept very well. Billy Bob was always happy to see us, he is a really sweet dog! We did not see Jerod much, but we had the opportunity to chat longer with Beta, who is a really personable and easy-going person. We would definitely come again when back in Glendale.

  • My first time in America and I couldn't have asked to stay in a more welcoming home. The apartment is lovely, very well kitted out with everything you need to cook, clean and relax. On top of that Jerod and Beta are such nice guys and their dog is amazing. Location wise it ticked all the boxes for me. Close to Burbank and Hollywood. Car parking couldn't have been easier. You can hear the street noise but they have pretty damn good windows that shut it out so it didn't bother me at all. If you are looking gr a nice warm home with the perfect amount of privacy and company then this is the place. Thank you guys.

  • This beautiful couple (and I mean beautiful in every way) were delightful hosts that made my stay a real pleasure. I can really recommend their apartment if you are looking for a convenient location in the center of Glendale - a short walk from everything you might need. Great underground parking with an elevator that lets you out right across from their door. After I left Glendale, a book that I had ordered from Amazon arrived at their home and they very kindly mailed in on to me. Now that's what I call a great hosts.

  • I stayed with J&B for one evening while traveling through LA and I will definitely return! The place/ room is exactly as pictured/advertised, parking is super easy and secure, there's amenities galore and most of all: fabulous hosts! If you are looking for something a little but outside of the city, that still has everything you'd need and has easy access to the city, this little spot in Glendale is perfect for you!

  • This is a late review, but it is the most honest and true review to you!!First, the house is amazing,Beta is well designed on this renting room, and using a lot of good stuff for the people.Second,Jerod and Beta are super nice and very very kind with hospitality, bring me a lot of new thing about this city and share some of their story, this experience is really impressive comparing to live in a expensive and lonely hotel.Third, the dog is a highlight of their apartment,I love it!!Forth, trust me ,you should choose their room as your first choice out the good quality of everything, and live here to have your best experience when you traveling in LA,I will choose to live this place next time, and you will too!

  • Nice room like a hotel, stayed here for night and wished I would stay longer! EXTREMELY comfortable bed. Jerrod and Beta were very attentive to my need. Able to park my car is a huge plus! Their dog is very chill and lovely.

  • Although this room had yet no review, I booked here because I needed somewhere to stay in the neighbourhood.
Well, as their first Airbnb guest I can recommand this place. The room and appartement are as descriped, just like a private hotelroom with special personal services. Indeed as Beta likes to please her guests, everyday I found little surprises and a clean towel in my room.
As they have busy lives I didn't see them a lot. But that was not a problem, also I was on the run, so much to do in LA.

About
I have lived in Los Angeles over 3 years now--originally from Kansas City. My girlfriend is a trained chef (and she's really good) so we love to cook together and take hikes at nearby Griffith Park with Billy, our chocolate lab. I would say we have a pretty adventurous life, because each weekend its either going to a Lakers game, a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, going whale watching on the harbor, seeing an awesome new movie, hitting up the tasting rooms in Santa Barbara or a fancy restaurant in West Hollywood, and on and on. So I truly love my adopted city of Los Angeles and know the city pretty well, so if you're a tourist here, I am happy to give you the rundown and answer any questions you have. When I was in college I spent a year studying abroad, so I've earned the right to call myself a traveler. I've lived in London, all over Sweden, Paris and the Gold Coast of Australia. Also, I've visited several countries in the Caribbean, and South America. Being from the Midwest and then going to these other countries was a huge pivot in the direction of my life. Eventually, I left the path towards med school and decided I was an actor! No regrets there!
